+: The hotel is beautiful, old design with a touch of modernism.
-: Firstly, the reception is overwhelmed and upon checking in we had to wait long time until we could be attended, we were not offered any drinks. This is second time I choose to stay in this hotel but this time I was highly disappointed. We booked 1 bedroom apartment and we found the sofa in tge living room very stained, so we had to ask to send the cleaning over, meanwhile we headed for dinner. On our return to the hotel we realized that the cleaning wasn't done, called the reception and asked to send clean blankets so we can cover the sofa, plus one of the toilets wasn't flashing the water. That's what you get for 500$ per night stay. 😕We barely managed to get proper sleep at night because of the huge movie set crew trying to move equipment at night for the following filming day. Many complaints about the same issue at the reception when I went to complain about the noise. Hotel staff looked stressed and overwhelmed, incapable to deal with many complaints since they were understaffed, mainly one receptionist available. But the worse, was on our check out day, reception not being able to book us a taxi to go to the airport and referring us to the taxies passing outside in front of the hotel. We tried for about 20 min to stop a taxi, all refusing to take us without booking, or saying are not available at that hour because of the shift change. So, I went to a bell boy at the hotel to ask again to help us find a taxi, and after some time trying without success he referred us to a private taxi, saying he driver works with the hotel and he is safe to go with, that he will charge us 60 Dhs to the airport , which is a bit more expensive then a normal taxi. So at the end we accepted to go with that driver, recommended by the hotel staff. When we reached the airport, the driver insisted to pay him cash, which I didn't have, and he was visible bothered, even though we made it clear from tge beginning of the ride that we want to pay cash.
