The hotel's breathtaking location near the beach offers awe-inspiring views of the Indian Ocean, complemented by the warm and welcoming presence of the staff.The accommodations at Pandanus effortlessly blend comfort with a touch of Sri Lankan elegance. Each room, tastefully decorated and equipped with modern amenities, also captures the local charm, thanks to the thoughtful touches added by the housekeeping team, including Chathuri and Susanthi, whose attention to detail made my room a serene haven.But what truly sets Pandanus apart is its unparalleled service. Under the leadership of Sara and Ravi, the staff, including Ajith, Pasindu, Dilhara, and Tharusha, goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels not just welcomed, but genuinely cherished. Their professionalism and warmth pervade every interaction, from the personalized greetings by Sara every morning to the exceptional dining experiences curated by Ravi and his team.Speaking of dining, the hotel’s restaurant is a culinary paradise. Guided by the expert hands of Ajith and Pasindu, each dish serves as a testament to Sri Lanka’s rich flavors, blended perfectly with international cuisines. The meals, prepared with the freshest local ingredients, are a highlight, thanks in part to Dilhara’s skillful cooking and Tharusha’s attentive service, making every dining experience unforgettable.Pandanus is more than a hotel; it’s a gateway to the beauty and culture of Sri Lanka, offering activities that resonate with the soul. +: hotel Padanus is an amazing hotel! The staff are all fantastic and the location, rooms, food and facilities were all fantastic - we would highly recommend Padanus to anyone staying in Bentota!! A special thank you to all the staff for being outstanding, tentative and so accommodating!

+: Check in easy and quick, overall stay was enjoyable, location and beach were wonderful, staff was very accommodating and friendly, breakfast and dinner were great. We took a tour to Sigiriya and Dambulla, transport provided by the hotel with competitive price, driver was brilliant.

-: Communication with the hotel via booking.com was useless. We haven't got answers to any of our queries until now. No communication at all. We had been messaging the hotel since a couple of months before arrival, however received absolutely no resposne. Bed mattress was quite uncomfortable, we guess it was due to polyethylene covering added by the hotel.

+: Alles war perfekt, wir würden sofort wieder dort buchen.

+: Let's start with the good. We enjoyed the food. We stay in Bentota two or three times a year, and the food was on par with other hotels in the area. We also liked the location of our room. We initially asked for a room that opened directly  to the pool, but one wasn't available when we arrived. We took room 117, which is close but also a little secluded from the noise of the people playing in the pool. The staff were very attentive and always happy to assist. Many older guests were staying, so the hotel may be marketing for an older age range.

-: So, the not-so-good stuff. The wifi was terrible; we couldn't get internet on our patio, and even in our room, it was weak. The strongest signal was by the pool bar. The shower would flood the bathroom at certain times of the day. The general cleanliness of the hotel was subpar. On arrival, I had to get a pillow replaced as mold was visible. It took three days for plates and bottles to be removed from an area we walked past each day. Overall, the price of the hotel was expensive for what you got.
