+: This is our second time in Maldives, first time was pre-covid and it was a couple vacation and at fancy expensive luxury Como hotel. Which was amazing but obviously it costs a fortune. This time round we were going as a family with 4 and 5 year old kids. We are Ru French couple.Main criteria’s were - reasonable priced (given maldives overall overpriced but something that is acceptable), we dont need to take a plane (boat was preffered and ideally not more than 45-1 hour travel time). Also i wanted the hotel island to have its own reef, kids club and a bit of space so not a tiny island but where we can do a little more as we stayed a week there. From that perspective this hotel was a great fit.The trip to the island was 45 mins, after plane arrival we had to wait less than 20- 30 mins to get on a boat, trip was fine not too rough, quite easy.Hotel is located on 3 small connected islands whereu can freely move between the islands. One of them though is Adults only, so no kids allowed. But we left kids to play at the kids club and enjoyed a nice drink in quite adults only beach restaurant. There is a small buggy bus that circulates between islands, longest we had to wait for one was 10 mins otherwise within couple of mins u usually get it.Kids liked this small buggy bus so for us was not any issue, u can also walk between the islands and there is enough shade from trees.Reef: its easy to access from either diving center or also from the beach where our villa was, we saw plenty of fish, turtles, small sharks, rays, octopus almost every day.Rooms villas: i was a bot worried when booking the hotel as i read a few reviews saying villas are very old but inalso noticed that most of these reviews were in 2021 which is peak of covid and i think most hotels suffered so decided tontake a risk. In the end the villa we booked (on the beach with a pool) was very good and quite new. So was happy.
-: Food in the restaurant was a bit overpriced but overall quality was Ok. There are a bit of mosquitoes and the hotel is doing fogging but i also hear its normal in maldives We went only for bed and breakfast (and I actually think its still a better value) as even on all inclusive there is quite a few things u need to pay extra otherwise choice is quite limited, so preferred to chose myself what to pay for what u want. Dinner in buffet costs $65 pp which was reasonably ok. I would recommend more options for al la carte lunch as otherwise mostly its pizza and pasta beach place or buffet. Overall good for family who is looking for good quality and not too pricey!
