+: I booked the Horizon Overwater Villa and it was just amazing. I loved the view. The welcoming was really nice. And the organization by arriving was good. The food at the buffet was really good. They had a variety of food and very good quality! Really loved the food at the Iru Restaurant. All the staff were friendly. They were always available. There is always someone who is responsible for you and available, which is really cool. They have shuttle services and a lot of activities on the island. Cleaning service twice a day and very clean ! Definitely recommend this resort !

-: Sadly, the leaving part was not nice as the welcoming. The organization was bad when leaving. Information for the flight was not given. A later check-out was also not possible. You can not choose for yourself at what time you want to leave and go to the airport. They will schedule the plan according to your flight schedule. Which was also not clear in the beginning. They told us only at the last day. One mistake I did was that I didn‘t book all inclusive, really recommend all inclusive. Better to eat at the Iru Restaurant than at other restaurants. For all other restaurants you have to make reservations eventhough only for 2 person for dinner. One disadvantage we had: We booked for a night at the Islanders Grill, if you are too early like 30min you have to wait eventhough they have space. Ur only welcomed at the time space you booked. Everything is very expensive there, but Male is known for that, so keep in mind.

+: Our butler Azzam was great. And our housekeeper Anil was very friendly and everything was spottless after his work! Coral reef was really nice and you could be on the beach all alone. When snorkeling we saw sharks and stingrays among thousands of smaller fishs. Amazing place, we will be back someday...

+: Iru Fushi is a wonderful compact island, not too big, not to small. As the most of the villas have their own pool where tourists spend their time, we never felt crowded on the east beach. Really recommend this place to anyone and would return back without hesitation.PEOPLEThis is the crucial factor so is mentioned as first. Majority of the staff is kind, nice, smiley and whenever wherever you are met they politely say hello. From what I understand, a lot of workers are longterm and have been with the resort for years and it is obvious. They treat the visitors like a family. I had a chance to talk to the resort manager and it seems he is the role model. Thanks Nalaka, Yub from restaurant, Kola from bar and to everyone I don´t know name :)ISLANDAs I mentioned it is the place to go with everything you expect from maldivian postcard resort. White sand beaches, every colour of the blue, palms, green vegetation... Smaller than his bigger brother Siyam world which lies nearby. It is easy to walk barefoot everywhere and it takes up to 5-10 mins to get to crucial facilities so no need to use a buggy even if they are at service.BEACHDifferent beaches around the island, mostly with white powdered sand, here and there with coral pieces, up to everyone´s taste. Island is protected by seawalls near the house reef which usually doesn´t obstruct the view excet the SE part where there are piles of rock very near the shore but it makes a pool for swimming and jumping from the beach.VILLABig spacious with a huge backyard and really big pool. Protected from the neighbours and the beach by bush which provide intimacy.FOODI really don´t understand some reviews about how food was mediocre or repeting or lacking this and that. Despite being on AI we ate only in the main restaurant and were absolutely happy with everything. Range and quality is outstanding and yes, maybe not to everyone taste, but it´s not possible to please everyone everytime. We didn´t try dinner restaurants.

-: Fortunately upon my intervention this situation was solved and after arriving to the resort discussed with management who apologised for, which we appreciate: On 9.1. (more than 1 month earlier) I informed the resort about our arrival. I specifically stated the we stay overnight in Hulhumale and we are able to be at the airport next morning as early as 7.00 am. The answer was:"Thank you for sharing all the details, we have noted and updated." Assuming everything is clear and agreed we showed up at the airport on the day of our check in at 6.30 am just to be sure we are on time. We were greeted by resort representative who informed us that our seaplane departure is planned on 1.30 pm. I got shocked. I asked if he is serious and we have to wait now 7 hrs for the transfer. The representative shrugged in a way 'I don't care' and answered "you should have been informed by resort yesterday about the departure time". I said we didn't get any info. He replied that we should have got the email or message via Booking or been informed by overnight hotel about the situation. I asked what an overnight hotel has in common with my business relation with Iru fushi. Another reply:" Look sir, I can get you and your family to our lounge but still you have to wait till 1.30 pm". No apology, no sign of trying to solve the problem. If I didn't react he was able to let us go away and get back afternoon. While I understand it's not the representative's fault, he at least should be able to solve situations like this. Train your front people in crisis management, cause they are the first and very important part of the guest impression. What should have a 5 service looked like? "Ok sir, I understand your situation and I will inform concerned parties. In a meantime we will transfer you to our lounge where you can wait while we do our best".
