+: Exceptional Hotel and Staff. Customer service is of the highest quality & they are expert communicators. I left several items in the hotel, and after contacting them, the hotel posted the items directly to me. I want to mention Mr Ibrahim Ismail his experience, customer service and professionalism is superb and is beyond what I could ever dream of. Thank you.

+: The location is great to visit the new Great Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids Complex. There are a few different dining options and gift shops that you can support and then tell everyone else to stop haggling you.

-: The bathrooms could be updated. There's currently loads of construction work in the area, the only real impact was getting the right pin for Ubers. Road noise around the pool and ground level isn't an issue. However, you do hear it from the balcony.

+: Uitzicht op piramides, rustig

-: Er is niet echt iets op loopafstand. Als je de taxi neemt via het hotel, betaal je heel veel meer dan bijvoorbeeld via de app Londencap. Je hebt dan ook nog een fijnere auto en fijne chauffeur. Ga niet met een taxi van het hotel naar de piramides, je word dan overgedragen aan iemand die daar werkt, voor je het weet zit je op een kameel en vragen ze prijzen van 120 pp. af kunnen dingen naar 60 pp en er de volgende dag achter gekomen dat het normaal gesproken maar 10usd kost voor een tour.. Het ontbijt en lunch buffet erg duur voor wat je krijgt.

+: Check-inWe arrived from the airport into the cool air conditioned lobby. We handed our passports and given a cool hibiscus drink. I personally didn’t like the taste. Then shown to our room.RoomThe view of the pyramids as I had booked was amazing. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. The shower pressure was good.BreakfastfoodBreakfast buffet was good lots of choices. We ordered some food at the pool and my club sandwich was lovely.FacilitiesThe pool was not heated which I didn’t mind, I don’t think many of the hotels we stayed at on our trip were heated. There were some onsite shops but they do charge extra for the convenience. For example I paid around EGP1300 for a football shirt when you could get the same in the Egyptian museum gift shop for EGP750.

-: Shower temperature The shower temperature wouldn’t go very warm at all. I’m not sure if it was working but it was bearable to get a wash.Food options My vegetarian husband didn’t have much choice. He had a margarita pizza one day. On our last night we ordered room service and he wanted the mushrooms pasta but they said they didn’t have any so he had to have the pizza again.Pool loungersOne day there weren’t enough sun lounges. The pool attendant did find us one but we ended up moving to the bar after a dip so we could both sit down. I prefer the Jaz hotel towel system.ExcursionsWe wanted a quick drop off at the pyramids. We asked the taxi desk and the guy rang his boss and the guy on the phone tried to sell me a tour for 30euros. I said no and passed the phone back. I only wanted a quick taxi to the pyramids. We ended up getting an Uber outside. That cost EGP150 including a tip.NotesThe previous hotels had a minibar with drinks but this was empty. Very strange. I had to confirm with reception that this was the case just so they didn’t think we’d drunk everything. They didn’t at check out. I was annoyed that the bar by the pool in the evening charged a 12% service charge when twice we were stood at the bar and they handed us the drinks. I had asked the hotel a favour to buy my husband a football shirt for his birthday but they said they didn’t offer this service, which is fine but they could have provided some information about the onsite stores where luckily I ended up buying one from. Just a bit unhelpful. They put a cake in our room a day early for my husband’s birthday but we didn’t end up eating it. Nice but not what I wanted to make his birthday special.
