Covid-19 update

Pay special attention to the new rules for crossing the border of Ukraine!
From August 5, crossing the state border from any country is unimpeded for citizens of Ukraine in the presence of one of 2 documents:
- a document confirming the receipt of a full course of vaccination against COVID-19 with vaccines included by WHO in the list of approved for use in emergency situations.
- certificate 063-O about the first vaccination in the course of vaccination against COVID-19.
Foreigners with a residence permit in Ukraine cross the border freely if they have a document confirming that they have received a full course of vaccination against COVID-19 with vaccines included by WHO in the list of approved for use in emergencies

If the necessary documents are not available, then the citizens of Ukraine and foreigners with a residence permit must install the "Home" application on their phone and within 72 hours pass a COVID-19 test by PCR or rapid testing for the determination of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus antigen ... If the test tuns out to be positive, you need to go into self-isolation. If the test is negative, self-isolation is needed.

Important! The "Home" application does not control or restrict the user's movement for the first 72 hours after crossing the border. Application to monitor self-isolation from the third day or in case of a positive test result for COVID-19 by PCR or rapid testing for the determination of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus antigen.

For foreigners, it is imperative to have a COVID-19 insurance policy and one of the following documents:
- negative test result for COVID-19 by PCR method (no more than 72 hours before crossing the border),
- negative result of an express test for the determination of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus antigen (no more than 72 hours before crossing the border),
- a document confirming the receipt of a full course of vaccination against COVID-19 with vaccines included by WHO in the list of approved for use in emergency situations.

For all unvaccinated persons, regardless of citizenship, who arrived from Russia or India, a mandatory 14-day self-isolation will be established without the right to early termination. Children under 12 do not need a test certificate. Children from 12 to 18 years old must have a test certificate, but are exempted from self-isolation with the installation of the "Home" application.

Due to Covid-19, some countries may have entry restrictions, so please read the countries' requirements for crossing the border carefully. We also recommend to check the entry conditions by the link to the website of the CSU (Consular Service of Ukraine), because of possible changes.

Covid-19 FAQ

The rule of mandatory PCR testing for COVID-19 does NOT apply to:

- children under 5 years old (for visiting Jordan)

- children under 6 years old (for visiting Egypt and Turkey)

- children under the age of 7 (for visiting Croatia)

- children under the age of 12 (for visiting Cyprus, Serbia, Tunisia, UAE)

Operators have included cancellation insurance on some tours. If this insurance is not included in the tour package, we recommend purchasing it additionally. This insurance partially or completely (depending on the conditions of the insurance company) covers the financial risks associated with the inability to travel due to the illness of the insured person with COVID-19. Check with the manager for details.

All tour operators include a standard basic medical insurance  in the price of the travel package. It covers all insured events except:

 - chronic diseases;

- sunburn and sunstroke;

- injuries caused by alcohol or drug intoxication;

- dental treatment.

Also, for an additional fee, it is possible to take out extended insurance policies: financial risk insurance or insurance against travel cancellation, extended medical insurance (with a larger amount of coverage for COVID-19 treatment, including active sports, etc.).

Extended health insurance (with COVID-19 coverage) includes:

- testing in the presence of symptoms of coronavirus of the insured person, as well as all the insured persons specified in the insurance policy;

- repeated control testing of the insured for COVID-19;

- observation of the insured persons indicated in the policy (up to 14 days);

- return ticket (in case of illness / observation and prolonged stay in the country of rest) for the insured.

For more information, please contact the manager, because some tours have included medical insurance with COVID-19 coverage in the price.

For most countries, it is mandatory to have an original certificate with a negative PCR test for COVID-19 in printed form with a wet seal, issued by a certified laboratory. The certificate should be indicating the date and time of taking the material for the test. Most countries require a translation of the certificate into English. And there are those that require a QR code or hologram.

Each country has its own requirements for the validity of certificates: in some countries - 48 hours, and in others - 72 or 96 hours. That is, the sampling of material for analysis must be carried out no later than stated in the requirement of a particular country, by the time of arrival at the destination airport.

Important: the results of FIA tests for COVID-19 are not accepted by any country!

In the case of a positive test result, but the condition and well-being are satisfactory and do not require hospitalization, tourists are placed in a separate building / wing of the hotel for self-isolation for a duration of 7 days. During self-isolation at the hotel:

- meals are provided in the room;

- it is prohibited to use the territory and infrastructure of the hotel;

- medical examination is not needed, the doctor is called only in case of deterioration of health for hospitalization and active treatment.

If the disease is asymptomatic, you can choose one of two retesting options:

- at the expense of the insurance company, but not earlier than 72 hours before the return flight. To order testing, contact the insurance company, the contacts are indicated in the policy (if your insurance policy covers COVID-19);

- at your own expense at any time, without waiting for the return flight (estimated cost - $ 130). To do this, you need to contact the host support service or the hotel guide.

For the return flight, it is necessary to retest again, since such tourists are allowed on board only if they have a negative COVID-19 test.

In case of symptoms of the disease, it is worth immediately fixing the insured event. To do this, you need to call the number indicated on your policy. All further actions are directed by the insurance company. If the condition and well-being of the tourist is satisfactory and does not require hospitalization, the vacationer is placed in a separate building / wing of the hotel for self-isolation for a duration of 7 days. But if the condition is unsatisfactory and outpatient treatment is necessary, then hospitalization is required. In this case, it is important to have an extended health insurance policy covering a long stay and a return ticket.

If you feel the symptoms of coronavirus before leaving, please adhere to these recommendations, because if you fly away with the existing symptoms of the disease, you endanger others.
