A fabulous vacation in Indonesia

Tour to Indonesia can not be called a budget vacation, but, nevertheless, the popularity of the resort is growing every year. Holidays in Indonesia are preferred by newlyweds who want to spend an unforgettable "honeymoon" or tourists who have visited many parts of the Earth who are looking for new impressions. Indonesia represents the world's largest archipelago, which includes five large islands and about thirty small islands. It is interesting that each island of the archipelago has its own distinct culture and customs.

The climate in the country is warm, it is a country of etenal summer, but tours to Indonesia are divided according to the season. Dry season starts in spring and ends in early autumn. The wet season lasts from autumn to spring. At this time, there are often short-term storm rains that occur at night. But because of the bad weather, traffic is difficult and diving and surfing are canceled. The temperature of the air all year round fluctuates in the range of 26-30 degrees of heat. It is interesting that on the archipelago ebb and flow occur twice a day.

The national cuisine of Indonesia is quite exotic and includes Indian and Chinese cuisine. The most popular product on the islands is rice. In addition, residents often consume seafood and various types of meat, except pork, which is very rarely found in the menu of local restaurants. During the holiday in Indonesia you can try such exotic dishes as shark fin soup, fried locust, rice with cuttlefish and other dishes. Of course, in the menu you can find more familiar dishes, for example, tuna puree, baked fish or crabs and other goodies. Local people prefer to eat fresh from local fruits, tea from ginger, coconut milk. In tun, the aborigines do not consume alcohol almost. But they produce beer from palm flowers, rice vodka and wine, which is available for consumption by tourists.

Relaxing on Bali in Indonesia

Calm and complete relaxation is a vacation in Bali. Someone considers it an island of carelessness and happiness with incredible sunsets and pleasant sunrises. For some, Bali is a place where you can see a lot of exotic things. And it unites all that each of the travelers will discover a new world for themselves here. He is remembered for pleasant moments, juicy fruits, gentle waves of the ocean and a feeling of complete harmony.

Bali is a famous island in Indonesia and a legendary tropical resort. Locals say that this place was once chosen by the gods for life. And only some time later they decided to show Bali to the people. The area of the island is only 5780 square kilometers. On such a relatively small area, there are many unusual places: beautiful beaches, jungles, savannas, national parks, beautiful waterfalls and thermal springs.

Since ancient times about twenty thousand palaces and temples have been preserved here. One trip to Bali is not enough for you to see everything. Here, everything is unusual and unearthly, the island even has its own unique religion, which is called "Balinese Hinduism." In a nutshell, local beauty can not be described.

What does a tourist need to know about Bali? The air temperature in Bali is the same all year round, its indicators are on average 27-30 degrees above zero. This allows you to come here at any time of the year. All this is due to the equatorial monsoon climate. This means that temperature fluctuations during seasons change are not familiar to Bali. By purchasing a tour to Bali, you yourself can be sure that even the sun rises here and sets at the same time - six in the moning and evening. A special feature of Bali is the rainy season. It starts around the time when winter in Ukraine is the period from December to January. But the rains are not at all the same as in Ukraine. The temperature still remains high.

All about vacation in Bali

Bali is often called a paradise, looking at photos of beaches with blue water and white sand. In general, this view is true. However, it is worth knowing some nuances, going on a trip to the island. We will try to tell all about the rest on the island of Bali, so that the holidays do not become a nightmare, and the tourists do not have to regret about a lot of money.

First of all, it is necessary to clarify the relative main thing for which many fly to the island - beaches. Contrary to the colorful photos that show tour operators, the traveler will not be able to swim anywhere. Often the beaches are dirty and crowded. To go on the island of Bali solely for the sake of swimming is a meaningless undertaking, the island is not visited for this at all. However, swim and sunbathe still work.

The Indian Ocean is distinguished by high waves, which are so loved by numerous surfers who come to Bali. However, there are also secret places on the island that are suitable for swimming, where moderately clean, the waves break far, and specifically these are beaches:

  • Nusa Dua;
  • Padang;
  • Dreamland;
  • Legian;
  • Sanur;
  • Lombok;
  • Lovina.

Other. Depending on the preference of the tourist, you can choose more deserted or, conversely, rave beaches. They also differ in location relative to hotels, markets and other places.

Bali Entertainment

As we have already found out, just to swim on the island will not work, but still why is it called heavenly? Vacation on the island can be very rich, in the presence of a huge number of places that you want to visit without fail. Therefore, it is better to take more vacation to see everything yourself.

Given the above, Bali is a paradise for surfers. In addition, there are a lot of programs for diving, snorkeling, rafting. If you do not like to actively splash in the water, then we recommend to go on a safari or ride elephants. Also do not forget to visit the park of birds and butterflies. But this is not all about holiday in Bali, there is still a lot of entertainment.

Nature is what really strikes Bali. Here you can see the ocean with volcanoes, stroll through the jungle, see how rice is collected on the terraces, jump from waterfalls, swim in the lakes between the rocks and much more. A similar place in its diversity is really impossible to find anywhere else.

But here is not only wonderful nature - there are other attractions. Numerous temples and sanctuaries amaze with architecture. In addition, even the local houses, cafes and restaurants surprise atmosphere.

Most of the island’s population are Hindu. It is worth paying attention to this side of the Balinese life. However, the tourist simply can not escape from it.

Every day there are religious ceremonies. Particular luck will be to catch major holidays, then the people organize lush festivals with disguises, dances and processions. You yourself will want to make an offering to the local gods.

In order to relax both soul and body, you can do yoga in one of the many local schools. Next let the body relax in the spa. You can go to expensive salons with professional craftsmen, equipment and cosmetics or find places with more affordable prices.

By the way, the expensive flight is compensated by cheap rental housing and transport.

Bali climate

If you want to know thoroughly all about rest in Bali, you should also familiarize yourself with the local natural conditions.

There is a rather high humidity exceeding 80%, so in winter on land you will find yourself ankle-deep in water. Of course, if the tourist is not confused by the numerous rains, then the weather is still quite hot. You can even bun in the sun, despite the clouds. The richest in rainfall are January and February. However, the beaches will become quite dirty.

Favorable season is the time from April to October. The most "dry" are July-August. A pleasant ocean breeze makes it easier. However, prices in season seriously bite.

Despite the precipitation, the temperature throughout the year ranges from 27 degrees.

Types of holidays in Bali

If you’re already full on the beach and you want diversity, then we’ll introduce you to interesting Bali activities. The first option is to visit the SPA center. This is what you need for relaxation and a good opportunity to prepare your skin for tanning. Balinese massages are varied: with flower petals, oils, etc. Next on the program - Waterbom water park, located in Kuta. Be sure to visit this place if you come with children.

Want even more sensations - go rafting, diving or surfing. An ideal place for rafting is the Telaga and Aung River. Here you have to be careful when choosing routes. If you want to go diving, but you do not have a certificate entitling you to do it yourself, do not worry. To help you come dive master. Ideal resorts for surfing are Kuta and Uluwata. Well, the latest offer from Bali - an active nightlife, which will surprise the number of discos, bars and clubs. Bali often come to celebrate weddings.

Tours to the island of Bali from Kiev

Bali Island is quite a popular travel destination. Attractive pictures offered by tour operators, and beckon to visit this paradise island. However, if a tourist expects to see charming beaches in Bali with bungalows in the background, we hasten to wan him. Of course, on the island there are similar places where you can sit comfortably in a lounge chair, sunbathe, and then, like in the movie, enter the blue water. But most places are unsuitable for swimming, but ideal for surfers.

Far from relaxing on the beach makes Bali a paradise island. Arriving here, the tourist will immediately understand its advantages. Local people are kind and welcoming, although they may try to get more money from you, but they will do it with all the courtesy. They are especially good with children.

Temples and shrines are striking in their grandeur. Balinese are zealous Hindus, so they practice religious rites every day. Catch the holiday is considered a special success for the tourist. This is really an extraordinary act.

Nature in Bali is truly unique. Around the ocean, near the towering mountains and volcanoes, from the house you can immediately go into the jungle. Be sure to visit the rice terraces.

So hurry to find suitable tours to the island of Bali from Kiev. Unfortunately, in Ukraine there are no direct flights to this island. The most suitable option is to fly by Chinese airlines. Most often with a change in Singapore or Hong Kong.

Bali Attractions

So, you settled into the hotel, maybe even went to the beach, bought or tried the waves with the surf, but what's next? You can't spend the whole day in the water, you have to come up with other entertainment. The best option is to go on an excursion.

We also advise not to use the offered tours, but to visit the monuments on your own. So the trip will cost less. This mainly concens visiting temples.

There are about 2000 sanctuaries in Bali, so the traveler is unlikely to be able to visit them all, but there are several that are definitely worth seeing.

  • Pura Besaki - the main temple of the island, as well as the largest;
  • Tana Lot. He stands on a rock and is surrounded by water during high tides;
  • Uluwatu - rises 70 meters above sea level, we also recommend to watch the performance of the kechak dance held in this place;
  • Catholic temple in Palasari. This is an incredible combination of Christian motifs and Balinese culture.

Of course, this is not the whole list of interesting temples. Each building is unique and unusual, but these, we believe, are mandatory for visiting.

Here the tourist flew in a tour to Bali from Kiev,   completed the minimum program, consisting of relaxing on the beach, diving, hiking in the famous temples, looked at the jungle, went to the bar, relaxed in the spa. What else to do? We offer to climb the volcano. There are three of them on the island: Batur Abang, Agung.

At one time, the first two volcanoes were one, but large. They leave a caldera - a hollow. Between them lies a picturesque lake. By the way, since we decided to climb up to Batur, going down, it is imperative to visit the hot mineral springs at its foot.

Agung is the highest point of the island - it reaches 3014 m. It is also called the great mountain, because the Balinese believe that the ancestral spirits live there. Therefore, all the temples of the island tuned "face" to the volcano.

Continuing the theme of outdoor recreation, take a trip to the Park of Birds or Reptiles. The fauna on the island is distinguished by its diversity; here you can see the rarest and most beautiful creatures. However, the flora is also not lagging, to see this, visit the mountain reserve Bedugul.

Important to know about bali

Those who have been traveling around Asia for a long time know about every small living creature that accompanies a tourist everywhere. In Bali, she is also present. You can not worry about malaria - vaccinations do not need.

However, the mosquitoes here are truly awful. We advise you to buy rep offs from the local, they are much better. There are a lot of insects on the island, but they are not poisonous. Do not leave food on the table if you do not want to find an anthill there.

Choosing a tour to Bali from Kiev, do not forget to arrange insurance. A visit to the doctor without it will cost the tourist a tidy sum.

Top interesting places for tourists in Bali

A trip to Bali is also an opportunity to see unusual sights, such as:

Safari Park

Today is the most visited and largest animal park on the island. Located in Gianyar. The park is special in that it collected 80 species of animals, some of which Ukrainian tourists did not see exactly. Note to tourists in the park there are aquariums with piranhas and three-meter arapaima fish. You can see how they are fed. The spectacle is still that.

Uluwatu temple

In Bali, there are six key temples that are spiritual pillars. Uluwatu temple is one of them. He has an unusual location - he comfortably looks out from the top of a steep cliff at a height of 70 meters above sea level. This is the perfect place to admire the beautiful sunsets and views of the Indian Ocean. Without this, a holiday in Bali will not be complete.

Tegalalang

This is the name of one of the rice terraces in Ubud. Since it is closer to the city than the other two, it is more often visited. Rice terraces differ in specific landscapes. They are built according to a special system of irrigation, which sometime in the 8th century was brought by a certain, according to local residents, holy man. What is special, except a beautiful view? It takes three months for rice to grow. Accordingly, you can buy a tour in Bali, come here and see the rice field in different states and colors. At different stages, the rice field is emerald green, it can shade the sky.

Bali Barat

It is the perfect combination of mangrove and tropics. It feels like someone spilled diamond paint. The forests are surrounded by gentle sandy beaches with crystal clear waters. Yes, you can't drink from here, but in some cities tap water flows worse than here. In total, the park is home to 200 species of animals. Note for tourists, you can only be here during the day. For this you should buy a ticket to Bali.

Bali Botanical Garden

Here you can not only take a leisurely stroll, admiring the views, but also get a little adrenaline. Here is the Bali Tritop Adventure Park with various bungee-tracks, tracks, bridges and cableways, as well as attractions. Here, by the way, a little cooler than in the rest of Bali, the temperature averages up to 25 degrees above zero during the day. And all because there is a park at an altitude of 1250-1450 meters above sea level.

Bali resorts

If your thoughts do not leave the desire to try something exotic and tropical, then you need to buy a ticket to Bali. The island will delight you with a choice of resorts. So, the most famous are Kuta , Seminyak and Tuban. There are always a lot of tourists. It is worth going here for an active holiday, go surfing, take a walk, but not with families or on a honeymoon. A completely different story with the resorts of Nusa Dua , Tanjung Benoa . From strong waves, local beaches protect the reefs. Thus, closed lagoons are formed. The beaches in these resorts are dazzling white sand.

For lovers of gentle tides, romantic sunsets and good food Jimbaran fit. This resort is located 5 minutes from the airport. For those who do not like high temperatures, the resort of Ubud is suitable, which is located at the foot of the mountains. For those who want to retire, lie quietly on the beach without high waves with turquoise water will suit Sanur . Bali is diverse and ready to offer every tourist an unforgettable vacation, taking into account the wishes of the traveler. Holidays in Bali is a dream that can come true today. Fairway will help you with this.

Holidays in Bali: prices

Bali is called a paradise island for a reason. However, inexperienced tourists who believe that such a name is caused by the presence of chic beaches on the island are in a hurry to disappoint. Not all areas are suitable for a relaxing holiday in a lounge chair. You need to know where to go in order to quietly sunbathe and swim. Otherwise, the rest will spoil the huge waves, which are so fond of surfers.

The island is called "paradise" because of the special atmosphere that can be felt only after arriving in Bali. No words, even the most eminent authors, will convey this. Be sure to visit the local SPA centers. Moreover, not only fashionable, comparable to European ones, but also local eateries for five dollars. Before this, be sure to visit the yoga class.

Amateurs and professionals from all over the world come to Bali. You can find a variety of currents. On the island of yoga, not just exercise, it is a special philosophy and lifestyle.

This is probably due to the island’s leading religion being one of the currents of Hinduism. Due to this, all Bali is built up with temples with incredible architecture, where every day local people bring offerings. Balinese holidays are especially interesting. Tourists will definitely want to take part in the administration of local cults.

Let's talk about the most important thing: the price of holidays in Bali may differ significantly from season to season. By the way, there are two such periods: dry - from April to October and wet - from November to March.

However, do not think that you can save money in the winter. In general, the wet season is more rainy here, but on New Year's holidays a lot of European tourists arrive on the island, which contributes to higher prices.

The most attractive for tourists season is July-August. Humidity during this period is the least, which means that travelers are not threatened by stuffiness. Accordingly, the cost of the trip will increase.

In addition to these features, you should know a few nuances.

Where can you save the most?

There are three rules, following which reduces the price of holidays in Bali. In fact, they practically do not differ from the recommendations when traveling to any other country:

1. Tickets for the plane are like the rest on the island. There are various aggregators that collect entire tours or separate air tickets. Be sure to find them, then tun on notifications of discounts and promotions in selected areas. In addition, it is better to book tickets in advance. Ideal - for a few months. Depending on the number and places of transfers, you can also save. Choose low cost Chinese airlines.

2Rental housing and transport in general is inexpensive on the island. Naturally, a secluded bungalow is cheaper than a five-star hotel, and the difference between them in terms of habitat is small. The best option - rent from local. People here are friendly, besides they will prompt a lot of interesting things. There is practically no public transport on the island, and taxis are very expensive. Rent a better motorbike, especially as gasoline is inexpensive.

3. Eat better in varungah. This is a cafe where go local. In tourist areas, the margins are extremely high.

As you can see, the rules are universal, but just in case we reminded them again.

Trivia, which is useful to know

The previous section tells you how to save a significant amount, but there are other little tricks to reduce the price of holidays in Bali.

To visit this island, but not to go on an excursion is a waste of money. However, it is not necessary to order a tour for 50-100 dollars. You can go by yourself, after reading about the place of interest on the Intenet or by asking the locals. It is best to travel in the early moning in order not to encounter many other tourists.

Also find out the prices in advance, on weekdays often everything is cheaper. Travelers often try to cheat, so when buying souvenirs and products, be sure to bargain, as if this is your last money.

If you come to Bali for a month or less, then the visa is placed directly at the airport, and you do not have to pay for it. When plans to stay on the island for a long time, will have to pay $ 35. Each extension will cost the tourist the same amount.

Climate and weather in Bali

The type of climate in Bali is equatorial monsoon. On the island all year round the same temperature, ranging from 27-30 degrees. The sun moves across the sky in the same way: it rises in the east at six in the moning and descends in the west at the same time in the evening.

Weather during the day has the same cycle as in the year. Around the clock in the lowlands reigns about the same temperature. Only near the water, thanks to the ocean breeze, a little cooler. But in the mountains it can get really cold. It is better to take a couple of warm things just in case.

The big minus of Bali is high humidity. In rainy seasons, it rises up to 95%, and in normal times it practically does not fall below 80%.

By the way, about the seasons, in contrast to the Ukrainian ones, there are only two of them: dry (April-October) and wet (November-March).

But don't let the name “dry” mislead you. As mentioned above, humidity persists in the region of 80%. Therefore, tourists are encouraged to take with them funds from the mold. You also need to be prepared for things to dry for a very long time.

Thus, the weather is favorable for traveling around the country all year round. However, it is worth knowing some features of such trips so that certain moments do not become an unpleasant surprise. Especially if the traveler wants to visit Bali in the winter and celebrate the New Year or Christmas.

In particular, always be careful with the sun, in any season. It is very easy to bun, even if it is cloudy outside. So, if you have fair skin, grab more sunscreen with high SPF. Be sure to take an umbrella to the beach, and use the cream during the entire trip, and not just when you sunbathe.

Bali dry season

As already mentioned, the dry season on the island lasts from April to October. At this time, the climate in Bali is most suitable for traveling. Rainfall is least especially from July to August. The ambient temperature does not change, but the water, in contrast to the wet season, becomes a few degrees less. However, the reservoirs during this period are comfortable for swimming.

By the way, the heat in the dry season is felt less, although the thermometer remains the same. However, this makes this time of year the most attractive for tourists, which means you need to prepare for higher prices and crowds.

Especially carefully choose the beaches during this period, because not every one of them is suitable for swimming. In particular, large waves can prevent rest. But they make Bali attractive for surfers from all over the world.

However, not all beaches are suitable for beginners. Here are some of them:

  • Echo Beach or Pantai Batu Bolong;
  • Legian;
  • Kuta;
  • Padang-Padang (plot close to the shore).

By the way, in the dry season you can see the most unusual dishes on the tables, for example, dragonfruit, guava, marquise and others.

Prices drop by September-October, as the transition period begins.

Bali's wet season

The wet season lasts from November to March. At this time, the climate in Bali may differ significantly from the dry period. In terms of temperature, however, there are no differences. Is that the water in the ocean is a couple degrees warmer during the rain. And the wind starts to blow in the other direction.
