+: Overall facilities. Pool, beach, hotel room, staff was usually friendly. Porterhouse and Moana restaurant were excellent.

-: Breakfast was very crowded. Fortunately after a few days, they opened a second venue for breakfast. Both Maui & Laguna restaurant service was not good. The World Eatery buffet was not good.

-: I have been charged twice for my extras on my credit card and the hotel will not reply to my emails

+: I recently stayed at this hotel, and the experience left much to be desired. The service, far from 5-star quality, was consistently disappointing. The food quality was barely 3 star level, leading to various cases of upset stomachs among our guests. It's unclear whether it's the specific food from the buffet or the cleanliness of plates that caused these issues.Housekeeping was consistently late, often arriving after 2-3 pm. With four people in the apartment, there were never enough towels provided. There was only one bathrobe that disappeared after the first night. The room always seemed hastily tidied up, with dirty dishes left in the sink.The quality of beds and room furniture was subpar, giving off an outdated and old feel. The pullout bed was shockingly uncomfortable and old for a supposed 5-star hotel. Additionally, there was an unpleasant smell from the restaurant below in the morning (vinegareggs) and evening (garlic).Upon arrival, there was no welcome or explanation of services. Instead, we were offered an upsell to a sea view room which would supposedly be available earlier. It was only once we were in the room that it was clear there was no beach view from the room. For a hotel claiming to be kid-friendly, there are also no late checkout or solutions provided for families with little kids. I was told to take the napping baby to a quieter corner of the lobby.Finally, the last straw was when the bill was presented for the entire stay. The amount pre-VATtourist taxes did not match up with the booking.com pre-VATtourist taxes amount. In the end, I took this up with booking.com but the general demeanor of the manager was deplorable and he left such a bad impression.This experience falls far short of the standards one would expect from a purported 5-star establishment. I have already brought these issues up to management during my stay. I believe this hotel may have once been 5 star worthy but this is far from the case today.

-: 1. I paid apartment with sea view by booking.com, they gave me garden view and wanted charge me for sea view room 2. First night on they charge me 1500 AED from my card at 4 am . I asked them what it is and they told me that they don't know, so they cancelled it 3. they took deposit 3500 AED and after one month still didn't give me back. I am trying to contact them to get money back... 4. room with bath is old, but still nice...problem is when you want to have bath, there is not enough hot water, so bath doesn't make sense, because who will want cold bath ???
