Dating back to 1342, the carefully renovated Altstadthotel Kasererbräu has been family-run for several generations and is located in the heart of Salzburg, directly in the city's historical pedestrian zone, at the foot of the Hohensalzburg Fortress.
The rooms, some of which feature antique furniture, while others are newly renovated with a modern design, are individually furnished and offer guests the highest level of comfort possible. Some categories offer additional facilities such as a mini-bar or a free-standing bathtub. Guests enjoy free access to the hotel's sauna and can book spa treatments on site.
Every morning, Altstadthotel Kasererbräu provides guests with a buffet breakfast and an Italian restaurant is located in the same building.
The hotel is only a few minutes walking distance from all famous historical sights in Salzburg, such as the Salzburger Dom cathedral, the Residence Square with its fountain, Mozart's birthplace or St. Peter's Monastery. A variety of traditional Austrian restaurants in the old town are as well located in the immediate surrounding.
Garages and parking lots are available near the hotel. Busses number 3, 5, 6, 8 and 25 all stop only a short walk away from the hotel, conveniently transporting guests around Salzburg.

+: Excellent breakfast.Some front desk staff were rude and unhelpful, others were great. Breakfast room staff were wonderful.Lovely tub with jacuzzi jets in the room. Nice shower.
-: In no way is this property handicap-accessible - stairs at entry and everywhere in the hotel, parking 200 m away.1 industrial, noisy, one-speed fan for cooling. No AC.Wifi very weak. Intermittent. Lots of buffering. Had to keep resetting connection.

+: Das Frühstück war gut. Die Lage ist perfekt
-: Klimaanlage wäre gut ,es war sehr heiss im Zimmer. Fenster konnten wir erst nach 24 Uhr öffnen wegen Lärm. Kein Kühlschrank und das Wasser aus dem Wasserhahn war lauwarm. Ist ein 4Sterne Haus!

+: The location is great as it’s right at the centre. It’s a heritage property and has a lot of historical relevance. The renovation was going on while our stay but rest everything was great. Friendly staff.
