Located in a quiet and green part of Salzburg, Amadeo Hotel Schaffenrath is only a short walk from Hellbrunn Palace. It offers free Wi-Fi and a free underground car park. Hotel Schaffenrath’s light-flooded rooms are furnished according to Feng Shui principles. They include satellite TV and a bathroom with hairdryer. A large breakfast buffet with many healthy products is offered each morning. The restaurant serves light Mediterranean cuisine and traditional Austrian dishes. Hotel Schaffenrath also has a café. In summer, coffee, homemade cakes and snacks are served on the terrace. Amadeo Hotel Schaffenrath’s underground car park is also suitable for vintage cars. The Salzburg-Süd motorway exit is a 5-minute drive away. Bus lines 3 and 8 take you from the hotel to the Old Town in just 10 minutes. Both lines continue to the main train station, and line 8 also goes to the airport.

+: Good location: although 20 min from the centre, it’s in a main road with a bus stop just in front. There also some shops nearby and a restaurant. Lobby is airy and the room was comfortable.
-: Price of the breakfast is 20 €, very expensive. I needed to have breakfast there before checkout and it was decent, but certainly not worth the money. I paid less in Vienna.

+: A fantastically located hotel in Salzburg. One of the main reasons we chose this location was the free parking since we were driving. The city center can be reached in roughly ten minutes via the bus stop that is directly outside. The room exceeded what was shown in the pictures. We had a separate bedroom, a large bathroom with a shower, and a kitchen. It also included a balcony overlooking the mountains. Given that we had to depart early in the morning, the 24-hour reception was excellent. By informing the staff a few days in advance, we even managed to get an earlier check-in. Comfortable stay; I would definitely stay here again if I returned to this city.
