Originally built around 1500, Bärenwirth in Patsch can be found 5.6 mi from the center of Innsbruck off the Brenner Highway and 1.2 mi from the Patscherkofel Ski Area. It offers rooms with attached bathroom with free high-speed WiFi and a restaurant serving characteristic Tyrolean cuisine. Free private parking is available on site. The quiet rooms offer panoramic mountain views and come with solid wooden furniture, a TV and a private bathroom with a bath. A rich breakfast and characteristic Tyrolean specialties are served in the restaurant, also providing great mountain views. On Saturday and Sunday the breakfast time is extended until 11:00. A more various choisce of products is available as well. A grocery shop and a bakery are within a 5-minute walk of the hotel. A bus going to the Patscherkofel Ski Area and to the center Innsbruck stops right next to the property. A mountain bike trail to Patscherkofel and a toboggan run pass the Bärenwirth and hiking trails can be accessed right outside. Toboggans can be rented on site.

+: The hotel is in a beautiful location just outside Innsbruck. The small town is the perfect place to escape for a few days and just relax. The room was a good size and extremely good value for money. When I arrived the staff offered me a very warm, family feel welcome. While the restaurant was closed on the day I arrived, they recommended a lovely café down the road where I enjoyed a lovely dinner. The main attraction for Bärenwirth when booking was the price. However, after a lovely stay it is definitely somewhere I will look to visit again in the future.

+: The hostess and her family were very warm and welcoming. She gave us a lot of information on the area and its history. We felt we had a good introduction to the authentic Austrian lifestyle.
