The Scherer is a traditional, family-run 4-star hotel in a quiet residential area, only a 15-minute walk along the Salzach River from Salzburg’s Old Town. The modern rooms provide individually controllable air conditioning, flat-screen satellite TV, a minibar, and a bathroom with hairdryer. The restaurant serves traditional Austrian cuisine and a rich and varied breakfast buffet, available daily from 6:30 am. In summer, guests can dine outdoors. The bar is open 24 hours. Hotel Scherer also features a 24-hour front desk and a bike rental. Garage parking is available for an additional fee. The Haunspergstraße Bus Stop is only 60 yards from Hotel Scherer, providing direct services to the center of the city in less than 10 minutes. +: Das Quartier liegt sehr günstig, nahe dem Hauptbahnhof, um die Stadt Salzburg zu erkunden. Wir hatten ein Dreibettzimmer, die Größe des Zimmers war perfekt. Das Quartier ist hundefreundlich, unser Chihuahua hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Das 3. Bett war kein Zustellbett, sondern ein richtiges Einzelbett. Der Kaffee beim Frühstück war sehr gut.
-: Beim Müsli könnte es eine größere Auswahl geben. Das Badezimmer war etwas eng und ist doch schon in die Jahre gekommen.
