Surrounded by the Nockberge Mountains, this elegant 4-star superior hotel is located right next to the ski slope and hiking trails above Bad Kleinkirchheim and offers bright and modern rooms. Der Kirchheimerhof - Superior Refugium features its own après ski lodge and a 6.6 ft² spa area.
The spa area includes a heated outdoor pool with a sunbathing lawn, a heated indoor pool, 9 saunas, a hot tub, a steam bath, an infrared cabin, aromatic showers, a tea and juice bar, and relaxation rooms with waterbeds and panoramic mountain views. Additionally guests find the Water Spray Land with lots of water attractions included in the spa. There is also a separate Family Spa with water attractions for children and teenagers.
The Kirchheimerhof’s restaurant serves a 5-course dinner which includes Austrian specialties and products from the hotel's own farm. The farm also holds cattle from the Limousin region in France.
For children, the hotel provides an indoor play area on 2 levels, an outdoor adventure playground with a petting zoo, and an outdoor ski fun area with a magic carpet during the winter season. Child care is available on 6 days a week during Austrian school holidays (other periods on request).
From late May to late October, the Kärnten Card can be bought on site.

+: Had a blast :) Was there with some friends for the weekend to do some MTB on the nearby Flow trail (5min scenic walk from the hotel). The facilities are wonderful and all the staff immensely friendly, hospitable and kind. Rooms are cosy, quite large with big bathrooms. Food was great. The breakfast and lunch buffet has plant-basedvegan options and for dinner just let them know in advance and they'll prepare a great plant-basedvegan option (the homemade sorbets with maple syrup crumble were to die for). The wellness area offers a bunch of saunas (even an outdoor one), pools and other pampering. Highly recommended. Great place to stay whether with friends or family.
-: Not a big thing just a note. During our stay (early June) the wellness area only worked till 19.00. If you prefer an evening sauna you'll need to make some scheduling adjustments. However, it does fit more nicely with dinner which usually starts around 19:30.

+: Le camere ampie e pulite, la piscina e l’area giochi per i bambini sono fantastici.Spazi comuni piacevoli e possibilità per i bambini di bere succo ed acqua.La cosa che ho apprezzato maggiormente è stata la possibilità di avere piatti vegetariani al menù della sera (minestra di mandorle fantastica!)
-: La lingua italiana continua a sembrare poco apprezzata anche se clienti italiani ce ne sono e il paese non è comunque lontano dal confine.Avrei apprezzato più uscite del mini club esterne (visita animali, raccolta uova, ecc). Sprayland non proprio pulita e con alcuni giochi da aggiustare.In alcune giornate la piscina è davvero sovraffollata.
