The Schmittenhof is a 4-star hotel at the foot of the Schmittenhöhe, right next to the ski slopes and just 100 m from the cable car. All rooms have a furnished balcony overlooking Lake Zell or the mountains.

The bright and elegant nonsmoking rooms feature a flat-screen cable TV, a safe, and a bathroom with bathrobes, hairdryer, and make-up mirror.

Hotel Der Schmittenhof’s Mediterranean-style spa area includes several saunas and a herbal steam bath. Guests can use it on weekdays.

International dishes, Austrian specialties, and fine wines from the wine cellar are served in the restaurant. Guests can also enjoy homemade schnapps and a healthy breakfast buffet.

The ski storage room features a ski boot dryer. A private ski bus with a stop directly at the hotel is provided.

In summer, the hotel offers carriage tours in the nature reserve, horse riding lessons, and pony riding. A riding stable is on site.

Free private parking is available on site. The center of Zell am See can be reached in a 15-minute walk.

From mid-May to mid-October, the Zell am See-Kaprun Card is included in the rates. This card consists of many free benefits and discounts, including free use of the cable cars.

+: Gutes Frühstück und Abendessen, Zimmer geräumig, nettes Personal, gut mit der Sommerkarte

-: Verkehr direkt neben dem Hotel, schon früh auch LKW. Entfernung zum Ort weit, und abends selten Busse

+: Sehr schönes Zimmer mit kleiner Terrasse, sehr freundliches Personal – große Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet, tolles Abendessen mit Dessert - hier gibt`s die besten Kakaogetränke. Schöner, großer Speisesaal.

-: Leider kein Schwimmbad und keine Morgenpost beim Frühstück.

+: Leuk hotel en goed eten. Ik twijfel wel of dit 4 sterren waardig is, maar het was wel lekker.

-: Licht in badkamer gaat op sensor. In de nacht kan je niet zonder licht en afzuiging aan naar de wc. Dat is best irritant.

+: sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Empfang an der Rezeption. Zimmer waren gemütlich und die Betten wunderbar bequem. Den Bus, der direkt vor der Haustüre in beide Richtungen (Stadt und Berg) fährt, konnten wir dank GästekarteSommerkarte wunderbar nutzen- sehr angenehm, da wir ein Kleinkind mithatten. Das Beste zum Schluss: DAS ESSEN! Sehr leckeres Abendmenü jeden Tag, sehr ausgefallen und ideenreich und immer freundliches Servicepersonal:). Wir werden sicher wiederkommen!
