+: This year we decided to go skiing in Sölden. As always, we were a small group of 12 people: 6 adults (50+), 6 young people (22+), 1 child, and 2 dogs. We have been to Sölden before, but it was our first time at this hotel. The location is very good - quiet and close to the lifts and center. The facilities are good - large rooms, nice view from the window, a playroom for children, an excellent spa area with 2 large saunas, an excellent steam sauna, and warm stone loungers. If you have a dog - there is a path in the forest nearby for walks. Very convenient! And it's convenient that you could leave your skis and boots in the depot near the lift with a 50% discount from the hotel (1.5 euros for skis and 3 euros for skis with boots). A cozy lobby where we played board games. A large restaurant where they set a table for all of us. The service at the reception is excellent! Very friendly and polite! It's also very nice service in bar! The breakfast is very good. But only the breakfast!
-: Restaurant!1) All12 of us did not like the food during the dinners. It's strange because many reviews mention a wonderful dinner. Maybe there was a different chef, or maybe there were other reasons.. But we have been skiing in Austria for many years, in different destinations, mainly in Tyrol. Always with half-board. We have stayed in both 3-star and 4-star hotels. And it was always gourmet! And this is the first time we were very disappointed. It felt as if we weren't in Austria. The food was edible, but it wasn't 4-star hotel quality food.2) Service during the evening dinner.Very strange! The waiters were unprofessional. Especially, everyone was annoyed by the waitress Natty. And this is also a first for us in 16-18 years of ski holidays in our beloved Austria! In previous hotels, waiters with smiles and jokes created a warm atmosphere in the restaurant. This was completely lacking here. I think it comes from the manager.3) It was very hot in the restaurant. On the first day, it seemed that the ventilation or air conditioning was working, but the other days it was very hot.4) For the first time in our experience - there are no towels in the spa area. Presumably to save costs. Yes, one towel for the spa is placed in the room. But in all hotels, towels are available in the spa. One is not enough. It's wet there!!!Well, and as usual, in the spa, there are usually cups (at least disposable ones) for drinking. Not to mention that there were usually fruits and tea. Even in 3-star hotels.
