Brand new Semeli Hotel is located in the financial and business center of Nicosia and offers a great base for exploring Cyprus’ capital. Its elegant rooms come with parquet floors, a 32-inch LCD TV and free WiFi.
The 5-floor hotel offers modern, air-conditioned rooms with a mini-bar and coffee making facilities. Courtesy bathrobes and slippers are provided.
A gym and sauna are available upon request and subject to extra charges. There are 4 conference rooms available.
A buffet-style breakfast and a la carte lunch and dinner menus are available at Semeli’s restaurant. All-day drinks and pre-dinner cocktails can be enjoyed at the bar. A widescreen TV that broadcasts sporting and other events is available in the bar area.
The hotel’s 24-hour front desk can assist guests with currency exchange and car rental service. A luggage room is provided. Guests also benefit from free parking, available nearby. The main ministries and embassies are within 1.2 mi. The University of Cyprus is only 601 m away.

+: Die Lage war für meine Zweck toll. Das Hotel ist zwar alt aber alles ist noch ordentlich und gepflegt. Es besteht eine Zusammenarbeit mit einem Taxiunternehmen, was besonders hilfreich war. Das Interenet hat perfekt funktioniert mit sehr guter Geschwindigkeit. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich und steht jederzeit für alle mögliche Themen zur Verfügung. Das Hotel war ruhig und habe nicht viel von anderen Bewohner mitbekommen (was oft der Fall in alten Hotels ist!). Die Zimmer sind sauber und es wird jeden Tag aufgeräumt und nach frischen Handtüchern und weiteres (Shampoo, Kaffee usw.) geschaut. Das Essen und das Frühstück sind sehr "basic", allerdings (für mich) ausreichend. Die Preise des Mini-Bars sind angemessen. Die Klima-Anlage hat super funktioniert (bei 38 Grad sehr wichtig!!!). Das Fitness-Studio konnte ich leider nicht ausprobieren, es ist aber eins vorhanden, was wichtig bei den hohen Temperaturen ist, da tagsüber draußen mit Sport gefährlich werden kann.
-: Der vegetarische Burger war leider schlecht. Das Frühstück hätte etwas "reicher" sein können. Die Baustelle vor dem Hotel hat alles erschwert, dafür kann aber das Hotel nichts. In meinem Zimmer hat das Schild "Nicht stören" gefehlt.

+: The staff were all amazing. Exceptionally friendly and accommodating. They really made the trip less stressful for me (travelling due to exams). Housekeeping checked the room daily and changed bins, towels and toiletries. The restaurant was also really good - tried a late night meal room service. The beds were comfortable enough but on the softer side so this is a preference thing. The TV screen is also very cool and “smart” so shows you menus etc The hotel is just off a busy road so it is quiet and calm - I didn’t have any issues with noise. There is also parking nearby.
-: Everything was great. If I had to nitpick I’d say more vegan options for breakfast.

+: I would say the biggest like for this hotel goes to the staff - extremely hospitable, polite and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. The offer for breakfast is diverse and excellent. The bathroom was also clean and it is obvious that the hotel is well-maintained.
