Location: Renovated in 2007, the luxury boutique hotel Villa Wesset is located in Pärnu, on the main street leading to the coast, at a distance of only two hundred meters from the shore and very close to the city center. The hotel got its name from a native of a Jewish family, Elias Jenkelevich Wesset, who owned a villa built in 1928. In 1904, Elias Wesset laid the foundation for the Progress chocolate, cocoa and sweets factory, which was located here in Pärnu, Malmö Street. The factory won various prizes at several exhibitions: an honorary bronze medal in Riga (1908), an honorary silver medal in Parnu (1909), an honorary silver medal in Rostov (1909), an honorary gold medal in Kamensk (1909), a medal in Rome (1912) which testified to the quality of products. The candy factory was nationalized in 1940, and after the war there were already located the workshops of the urban industrial complex (today's Viysnurk), and in the following years the dormitory, the house of engineers, innovators, the society of book lovers, and in recent times various shops.
