+: Arriving at the hotel we were warmly greeted and offered a welcome drink while we checked in. It was fairly late so once our bags had been dropped to our room we visited the restaurant and grabbed some dinner. We were half board and some nights there was a fixed menu with a couple of choices of starters and mains followed by a dessert, others we could help ourselves to the range of foods available at the buffet. The fixed menu portions are large and the starters always served with a selection of breads and a salad. The buffet offered a wide range of foods both local and international, soups, cheeses, breads and dessertsThe room itself was a good size with a flat screen TV offering over 100 channels, local and international, my son even managed to watch the Austrian GP on an Austrian sports channel so all good there! Bonus was a welcome tray of fresh apples and local cookies!Plenty of drawers and unusually, great lighting both in the bathroom and at the dressing table. The bathroom was spacious with well stocked toiletries, always plenty of clean towels etc,The young man (who's name I forgot to get - sorry), who cleaned our room was lovely, always checking we were happy with the clean, leaving us some fab towel art displays.Heba in the Spa was amazing and managed to resolve my neck and shoulder issues with a couple of massages - highly recommended.Tamer, Hany, Mernaa and all the Guest Services team were outstanding and helpful at all times. Hossam the Night Manager was so kind and friendly we felt like we made a friend and special mention to Ahmad (Pool Towels) and the LifeGuard who couldn't have been more helpful in making sure we had beds that we were happy with, moving us or our things as needed or umbrellas to keep us comfortable....and finding a ball for us to play with in the amazing pool! Also Kareem and Hussein - restaurant!I could say so much more but will run out of space....so go, enjoy, make friends...
-: Just a note, no drinks are included in the half board at dinner including water or soft drinks but the costs are minimal so not an issue just worth knowing. We are used to Jaz hotels having visited a couple in the Red Sea area many times but this hotel is obviously still in transition from what we could see so accepted that the rooms were a little tired but they made up for this with the cleaning and outstanding levels of service across the board. The wardrobe, as with most around the world, while spacious with plenty of hangers and a free to use Safe, was unfortunately designed by a man so anything longer than a long shirt (dresseslong skirts) would crumple at the bottom the bathroom door didn't lock but not really an issue for us.
