A National Monument, this ancient monastery is believed to have been founded by King Alfonso I in the 8th century. It is surrounded by the Picos de Europa Mountains.

Этот Парадор расположен в сельской местности на хорошей дороге километрах в пяти от города Кангас-де-Онис, в окружении лугов, гор и реки, в здании старинного монастыря и в более новом корпусе. Здесь из окна слышно пенье птиц и коровьи колокольчики, но в номере есть всё для комфортной жизни. По коридорам и галереям можно долго гулять, разглядывая картины и мебель, есть библиотека и внутренний вход в пятисотлетнюю церковь, в баре настоящий камин, а в нишах коридора открыта старая кладка и стоят витрины с археологическими находками. Вместе с тем всё продумано для удобства гостей: есть внутренний дворик монастыря со столиками, есть лужайка со скамейками, детская площадка и спуск к реке, а по газону непрерывно ездил робот (подстригал?). Интернет был быстрый, кофе в баре очень вкусный, завтрак тоже ничем не огорчил. В этом месте нельзя ждать шумных развлечений или ночной жизни, но мы здесь провели время с огромным удовольствием Время проживания: Июнь 2018
