Amalthia Beach Resort is favorably located right by the sandy Agia Marina Beach and 5.6 mi west of Chania. Facilities include a fitness and a spa center.
The swimming pool consists of an adults' and children's section as well as a playground. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available on the beach.

Right beside the swimming pool there is a lovely taverna restaurant on the beach. Guests can soak up the atmosphere at this center of local activity. Order a delicious cocktail at the taverna bar and think about a swim to Thodorou, the home of the Cretan goats. Toward the evening, enjoy the views from the balcony or terrace.

-: Didn't know room would be so far from beach. No hot tubs, just what looked like hottubs, but not.Room AC hard to figure out. Took awhile to be sure it was on and cooling because it is very quiet, blows softly from one part of vent strip near ceiling and can shutoff if key removed or a door is left open.Local traffic doesn't seem to have a speed limit in this conjested tourist area. Would not bring small children to this area.

+: Die Lage ist super. Es hat viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Nähe. Der Strand ist hier besonders schön mit feinem, flachem Sandstrand.Die Zimmer sind schön und modern eingerichtet, auch im alten Teil. Es ist sehr sauber.
-: Dass man die Liegestühle am Strand separat bezahlen muss (ist zwar nicht teuer, aber ich finde für Hotelgäste müsste das dabei sein)So schlimm ist das aber nicht, da man gleich nebenan bei Sebastian's die Liegestühle gratis benutzten kann, wenn man etwas konsumiert.

+: Gutes Frühstücksbuffet, gute Lage nicht weit von Chania, schöner sauberer Sandstrand, sehr freundliches Personal, neue modern gestylte Hotelanlage.
-: Die Frühstücksterrasse im Freien ist relativ laut, da direkt bei der Hauptstraße.
