Located on the sandy beach of Rethymno and within a short walk from the Old Town, Aquila Porto Rethymno features 3 freshwater pools, a private beach and 2 restaurants. The hotel complex offers a variety of sports and leisure activities, such as massage treatments and yoga lessons.
Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and earthy colors, the rooms of Aquila overlook the Cretan Sea or the town from their balcony. Each unit is equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV and a mini bar. The luxurious bathroom is stocked with bathrobes, slippers and a hairdryer.
Guests can start their day with a continental or an American buffet breakfast. Cretan, Mediterranean and International flavors are prepared at the Piazza Di Porto Restaurant and at the main restaurant for lunch or dinner. Drinks and exotic cocktails can be enjoyed at the poolside snack bar. A welcome drink, and a welcome pack with wine and water, are offered upon arrival.
A variety of happenings, such as dance shows and cooking lessons, are organized. Younger guests can also enjoy themselves playing games and taking part at competitions at the on-site fun club. Guests can also benefit from the free use of the gym and sauna, as well as sunbeds and umbrellas.

-: hotel was niet schoon, lift deed het vaak niet en toiletten waren alleen pr trap beschikbaar in de openbare ruimte. daarnaast was de vloerbedekking overal verschrikkelijk vies.

+: personnel très prévenant et disponible. Pour tous les goûts que ce soit au petit déjeuner ou au dîner. Ville de Rethymnon à 10 mn à pieds à peine. Magasins et restaurants dès qu'on a passé les portes de l'Hôtel. Insonorisation des chambres. On n'entend pas ses voisins.

+: The location was great, opposite the beach and a 10 minute walk to the old town, supermarkets, bars and restaurants all around
-: Not enough sunbeds at the pool, they were very spaced out and could easily have been half again, you couldn’t get a space after 9am, had to use the beach which wasn’t always my preference, only got to the pool 2 days out of 10!
