One of our top picks in Athens.This hotel has a prestigious location in the historic heart of Athens. It offers 4-star facilities, excellent views of the Acropolis and Temple of Olympian Zeus, and fine cuisine. Free WiFi is available throughout.
The Athens Gate Hotel is located 200 m from the new Acropolis museum. It is opposite the Temple of Olympian Zeus and on the doorstep of the historical Plaka area.
There is a bar/restaurant on the top floor of the hotel, offering breathtaking views of the city. Breakfast can be taken in the roof restaurant, or ordered from room service. There is also a bar in the reception area serving coffees, drinks and light snacks all day.
All the front rooms have a view of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and 6th and 7th floor rear rooms offer stunning views of the Acropolis. Rooms with Acropolis view are offered on request basis and upon availability. All units are equipped with 27-inch (27 in) LCD flat-screen TV.

+: Location location location. This place is great for those wanting to visit historical sights. Hotel staff were extremely kind and helpful. View from the roof top restaurant and breakfast area is breathtaking, looking straight at the Acropolis. Room isn’t plush but has comfortable beds, is spacious and has good bathroom facilities and a balcony. Would stay again

+: We stayed one night at The Athens Gate Hotel. The location is good, just a short walk to major attractions like the Acropolis and Plaka, but overall, I would rate our stay 710.
-: The wash basin in our room was blocked, which was quite inconvenient. While the hotel was clean and comfortable, it felt a bit overpriced for what it offered, especially given the maintenance issue. For a short stay, it’s a decent option, but I expected more for the price.
