+: The view from the breakfast area was amazing, and the breakfast was also nice and versatile. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is just a short walk from the hotel to the beach (5 to 10 min) and the area is quiet and isolated from the main street with bars and restaurants.

-: Provided ‘parking’ is just an unpaved dirt lot and there are no asigned parking spots for every guest, if you fit, you park, if not, good luck. Also, the furniture is quite old, there are no window shades in the bathroom (we had to use a towel to cover the window) so anyone can see you from outside while you are showering. The room and the bathroom were clean but really in need of renovation.

+: When I booked this hotel the reviews and ratings appeared good. In the month or so before departure I became concerned that the ratings were often much lower, but by then I could not cancel so thought we would make our own judgements. We arrived after midnight. Shown to our rooms. Disappointed with rooms - poor quality furnishings, musty smell and smell of drains. Said we were disappointed, but we were tired, so went to bed after being told we could look at alternative rooms in the morning. Breakfast the next morning was poor - limited selection, poor quality furniture, guests often clearing their own tables etc. At this point we decided to "cut and run"; we didn't think it was worth even looking at other rooms. By this time we had also seen the rooftop bar which was again of very poor quality. So we left the hotel and drove to another hotel on the island which was VASTLY superior (and for pretty much the same price). On looking again at the hotel photos of the rooms before writing this review, I would have to say that the photos are VERY flattering. In conclusion it felt to us as though this is an hotel which is not being invested in anymore and is being allowed to die. For some context, our group (2 couples) have had many holidays over the last 10 to 15 years across the world and this is the only time we have ever felt that we could not stay in an hotel, and the only time I have ever had to write a negative review...let alone one as poor as this. One positive: The young man on reception was very pleasant!! I felt sorry for him having to represent this hotel.
