Bueno Hotel Apartments features 2 freshwater pools, each with a furnished sunbathing terrace. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, it is only 492 feet from the sandy beach of Platanes and 2.5 mi from Rethymnon center. The self-catered studios and apartments feature modern wood furniture. Each one is air conditioned and comes with a satellite TV and a private bathroom. Balconies overlook the gardens or pools. Cocktails and snacks are served throughout the day, at the 2 bars. The open-air restaurant serves traditional Greek cuisine. Weekly barbecue nights are hosted. You have free Wi-Fi access in the lobby. A satellite TV corner is also available, and chill-out lounges are provided. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy a mini football field, as well as water sports and beach volleyball facilities, available on the beach. Reception provides services 24 hours a day; services include currency exchange, wake up calls, car rental, excursions and more. Free outdoor parking is provided to hotel guests.

+: Good location. and parking on site is a big plus. Very close to the beach. Just 10 minutes to Rhetymno by car. Nice balcony and view. The two barmen were so kind and friendly.

+: Das Hotel wird sehr liebevoll geführt. Es ist zwar schon älter, aber wirkt gut instand gehalten. Die Lage ist wirklich toll: nah am Strand, nah an Restaurants und aktivem Nachtleben und dennoch in einer ruhigen, engen Straße.Die Klimaanlage hat sehr gut funktioniert, musste allerdings für zwei Zimmer herhalten (nur EINE Klimaanlage trotz zweier Zimmer + Bad).Das Reinigungspersonal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Bar eher grummelig besetzt. Der Pool hat viel Frischwasser bekommen und hatte je nach Tageszeit häufig wenigstens Teile im Schatten. Ob er „richtig“ mit Chlor eingestellt war, kann ich nicht sagen.
-: Keine Fliegengitter an den Balkontüren! Wir konnten den Balkon im Grunde nicht nutzen, da man sofort zerfressen wurde und man die Balkontüren von außen nicht schließen konnte. Die Türen zu den Hotelzimmern sind sehr dünn. Im Haupthaus auf der Eingangsetage wurde es dadurch bis spät in den Abend häufig recht laut. Das Frühstück ist sehr einfach gehalten und die meisten Bestandteile nicht gekühlt. Als hygienische Abdeckung diente jeweils nur einfache Frischhaltefolie. Das hat uns angesichts vieler Gäste ohne Manieren (zB in die Hände husten und dann zugreifen, Kinder die einmal quer über alles husten) abgeschreckt.
