+: We stayed for 12 nights in the 1 bedroom apartment during the last week of September and the first week of October. Quiet location with lovely sea and beach view. Good sized pool and clean pool area, with sufficient loungers and umbrellas. Good sized bedroom and plenty of storage space. Good sized balcony. Decent sized living area. Kitchen equipped sufficiently for preparing breakfast and light meals. There are a couple of good bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, particularly La Piazza which serves good food with very decent portions. Local supermarket is directly behind the property and has sufficient and varied stock of foodstuffs for self-catering. Spiros was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
-: The shower stall was small and the shower curtain in need of replacement. Only mirror in the apartment was a small one in the bathroom. The rubbish bins were emptied most days but the apartment wasn't cleaned during our stay and towels and bedding were changed once on request. We recognise that this might not be normal practice and due to staff shortage. It's too strong to say that we didn't like it but -there are 119 steps from the main road to the apartment (I know because I counted them frequently!!) so anyone with mobility issues should be aware. There is an alternative route to the main road but that also has a steep ascentdescent, and Barbati is a hilly area. Barbati in general is also slightly highed priced than more popular beach areas along the coast, which can be expected. In retrospect, 12 nights was too long, unless you have own transport, though buses operate through the village.
