-: The apartment was up a steep hill and ascending and descending involved walking on rough and slippery terrain, not car friendly so carrying luggage made it more precarious. The actual room was utilitarian, nondescript and cramped although there was a terrace the only shade was a big sheet of board overhead. The toilet paper bin was emptied every three days which in searing temperatures of 30 degrees felt unhygienic, and cleaning was spaced for every three days too. We stayed in Rhodes for three weeks and the Meandros was our last stop and least favoured accommodation being the most expensive and characterless. Having stayed at other places we found the Meandros disappointing, other places we stayed at were cleaned regularly and toilet bins were emptied every day and the hosts made more of an effort to add little touches to enhance our stay. There was nothing particularly outstanding to recommend the Meandros suite. They should really emphasise that the accommodation is difficult to access on foot and involves a considerable walk with you carrying your own luggage up a steep slope.
