+: The hotel is very cute and nice and have friendly staff - they all do their best within their areas of responsibility. However, I have to take the price into consideration here, for a boutique hotel. The price is comparable to the most expensive 5 star hotel in European capitals, like Adlon in Berlin and D'Angleterre in Copenhagen. Amazing you can charge that much for a sunset, but this goes for all Oia hotels. You do get a fantastic view (especially if you have the right room), but the core product also has to have the same standard. Personally I felt trapped in the hotel, as I probably would in all Oia hotels, given the fact that I had to climb 173 steps to get to the nearest restaurant or shop, The pool was nice and fresh, but very small, but again it is a boutique hotel. Overall, as the location cannot be changed, the hotel would get a so much better rating if they removed all my tiny points of irritation, and please take it as suggestions and positive criticism.

-: Location was perfect to see the famous sunset........however to do that you need to walk down 173 very uneven steps even to get to the hotel, actually nearly dangerous, but you cannot blame the hotel for this, this is just how Oia is laid out, but you really need for work for those sunsets. We had the best category room type (I think), but could not see the sunset from our room but needed to crawl yet another 50 steps to get to some private terraces to see it - this worked ok, but I do not know how rooms with sunset view are distributed among guests, as we would have loved to have such a room. The room was spacy and nice, but it is a cave meaning it can get humid there, if you turn off the dehumidifier, so please do not do that otherwise your clothes and bedlinen becomes humid too. The room was though missing small things, like place to put your clothes, drawers and shelves, hooks for bathrobes and towels as well as washcloths. Very small cheap things that could improve the overall impression. We only got complimentary water bottles the first day - a bottle of water cost €0,50 in the supermarket and you pay €500 per night, come on. Breakfast is very basic, and you better go relatively early to be sure all items are still available - the bread selection is though still very poor. Very small things could improve the breakfast considerably like a wider choice of bread, juice, do not charge extra for other than standard coffee, again think of the room price. Do not understand what cakes has to do on a breakfast table, but probably that is standard in some countries. Freshly made eggs your choice upon order would be great too. Breakfast is from 08:00-10:30 full stop. If you want breakfast earlier you get a tray with a strange selection of biscuits and crackers delivered the day before to your room, instead of having it fresh on the day you want it. I have never seen this in my 40 years of travelling the World in any hotel having your breakfast the day before?
