+: Die Hotel ist sehr schön, weitläufig angelegt, gut gepflegt und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Strand ist auch schön und als wir da waren, gab es auch größere Wellen. Wir hatten viel Spaß beim Baden. Uns hat auch gefallen, dass im Hotel keine Einwegplastik verwendet wird. Das Personal war super freundlich und hat auch immer etwas besonderes organisiert. Wir konnten einen balinesischen Abend mit Musik und Tanzvorführungen erleben. Das war ein toller Abend, den wir nicht vergessen werden. Es war zu spüren, dass sie sich gefreut haben, uns ihre Kultur näher zu bringen. Das erlebt man nicht mehr so oft. Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren, auch wenn die Anreise recht weit ist. Das ist es auf jeden Fall wert.

+: Private beach. Seaside SPA and Yoga. Good food. Everything perfect.

-: Just a note that it’s at least 3 hours ride to the resort. I don’t dislike it it’s just to prepare yourself before hitting the road hehe

+: Set in a beautiful untouched area of West Bali. An ideal location to totally relax and unwind. All the staff were wonderfully courteous and extremely polite and helpful. There were features nights during our stay to experience Balinese dance and music also a special barbecue night. We had a day tour of West Bali and Putu our driver and guide was the best.

-: To get to this paradise there is a 2 to 3 hour journey from the airport but it is worth the journey. The Resort does provide a personal taxi ( at an extra charge) by I would recommend getting the hotel arranged taxi. All the drivers are charming and well experienced in navigating the road to the resort.

+: The staffs are always putting on a smile and they were attentive during our stay. The pool in the villa was nice and the stay was quiet throughout. We hired the Hotel’s car for a day and requested for Driver Butu as he was very friendly and can speak good English.

+: We had a villa with a view of the sea and a pool and were very impressed with its size. The room was cleaned every day and the staff were all very friendly. The garden staff are always out and about cleaning up fallen leaves and maintaining the facilities. We visited here for some luxury and peace and quiet at the end of our vacation in Bali, and would recommend it as a location foe exactly that. Food in the restaurant was good and we can recommend considering the special menus when available. Breakfast was buffet most days with plenty to choose from. My wife had arranged the King and Queen banquet for our first night, it was a private and special affair for a special occasion. Yes there are cheaper places to stay and you can eat and drink cheaper in town centers like Ubud, but that's not why you are staying here.

-: There was nothing we did not like about our stay or the facilities at Kelapa Retreat and Spa. Our only criticism would be that on the local two hour walk, it would have been better if the guide had kept stopping and waiting for others to catch up and then explained things to everyone. If you stopped to take photo then you had to keep playing catch up and missed out on anything he was trying to share.
