+: De locatie was prachtig. Personeel zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

-: De hygiene te wensen over. Badkamer, kraan met heel veel kalk, klamboe ontzettend smerig, zat vol met vlekken. Alles plakte, gelukkig hadden we Dettol doekjes bij ons. We hadden 3 huisjes en bij alle 3 dezelfde ervaring. In 1 bed kwamen zelfs wormpjes voor.

+: This is a lovely little hotel with individual bungalows right on the beach - we were in no 1 so looked straight out onto the beach and sea.

-: The bay was quite busy with ferry boats

+: Amazing location. Super friendly staff. A special mention to Rika and Tinu for their friendly and welcoming service. They're lua biasa! Cheap eats and cocktails. Absolute beachfront. The stairs to the bathroom are pretty steep, but if I didn't fall down them, most other people wouldn't, lol

-: Steep stairs down to the bathroom for those who don't love height navigations, especially after cocktail hour. It is a wonderful spot with attentive staff, the stairs are just a warning for people with mobility issues.

+: It's at a nice little beach, directly at the beachfront. Recommendable for backpacker kind of tourists, not recommendable if you are used to high comfort and standards, and travel with lots of suitcases rather than backpacks (no direct road access, you need to carry them for 200 m on your shoulders through the sand).

-: The Mola Mola hostel is tedious to reach, unless you happen to pick the right speedboat operator. We picked "Rocky" speedboats, based on their good reviews. The problem with "Rocky" is that they land on the other side of the island (you then need to take a ca. 30 minutes long, super bumpy and hot mini pick-up truck ride over roads with more holes and bumps than pavement), whereas there are a few speedboat operators that land exactly and directly at the beach where Mola Mola is, which would be perfect. Unfortunately, Mola Mola didn't tell about this important hint. Perhaps, as they have a love-hate relationship with the speedboat operators that land directly at their beach. On one hand practical, on the other hand it destroys some of the nice and unique atmosphere of the beach and hostel location, as there's noise and exhaust fumes whenever those speedboats land or depart. Considering how "romantic" the hostel is located, and how much this would cater to honeymoons and the like, the staff was surprisingly cold and minimalistic. Expect to wait for your breakfast at least 20 minutes after seating. The service thus mainly suits backpacker tourism, with very low expectations regarding comfort, friendliness, attention. You can ask the staff to help carrying the suitcases through the sand to the taxi pick-up location, but they are not offering it by themselves, for obvious reasons. I booked a Manta ray snorkelling tour by a 3rd party operator, and they actually forgot to pick me up at the taxi pick-up point, probably because it's such an inconvenient location to drive to by a little pick-up truck (you sit behind on benches, no air-con, just a roof). They then sent a motorbike taxi, but didn't even bring a helmet, so I had to ride on dangerous, super bumpy and wet "road" without a helmet. Luckily, Fortuna had a good day, I survived it without any accidents.

+: Hoe relaxed wil je het hebben? We hadden een perfecte hut op het strand. De medewerkers vonden niets teveel gevraagd. Lekker ontbijt met de voetjes in het zand, uitkijkend over de prachtige baai. Geweldig!

-: Redelijk stijlen trap naar de kamer in de hut. Wij durfden er 's nachts niet in het donker vanaf....
