+: Das Personal war durchweg freundlich, kompetent und hilfsbereit. Das Badezimmer meiner Suite war besonders gut ausgestattet mit Badewanne und Dusche. Alles praktisch neu. Das Hotel ist wunderbar grün, mit Pflanzen überwachsen und fast ein Bisschen verzaubert.Der Indoor-Pool bietet auch kühleren Tage für etwas Bewegung. Das Restaurant hat eine sehr gute Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist vielleicht nicht so groß, aber qualitativ sehr gut. Die Zubereitung von Eierspeisen aller Art gehört zum Standard. Die eher britische Ausrichtung hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Das Hotel ist mit Taxi oder Uber sehr gut erreichbar. Es liegt etwas vom Zentrum entfernt aber sehr nah an den Bars, Cafés und Restaurants des Stadtteils Kilimani.

-: Manche Gäste vergaßen, dass die Türen nicht automatisch oder gedämpft schließen und haben die laut zugeschlagen. Manche meinten auch nachts Möbelrücken zu müssen. Dafür kann aber das Hotel nichts.

+: The General Manager was very kind in refunding my payment and allowing me to leave the next day. I only paid for one night. The room had no air conditioning and the doors cannot be locked with a bolt when you are in the room. Anyone with a card key can enter your room. Although the room was an upgrade, I prefer to have a smaller room with AC and a room that has been aired out and cleaned. Under the bed was an old sock and the bathroom really needs a scrub. The place is probably fine a weekend getaway and I understand that they are renovating rooms so this may look better very soon.

-: Not the right hotel for a business trip or if you have lots of luggage. The security person at the gate did NOT check inside the car or the trunk. A room without AC in the rainy season is not good. Cannot open the windows, too many bugs, etc.

+: I loved my stay in Nairobi. The staff at Palacina made Kenya extra special. It made me feel like I had friends or family and even though remaining impeccably professional. The staff are led by awesome management. It is a positive, exceptional environment

+: This place has so many lovely things, but they were all not functioning properly. Pool was overflowing and flooded at the only time we had time to use it. Clearly it had been overflowing for 3-5 hours since it was 2+inches in water everywhere. Simple lack of observing what is happening and taking proper action. The staff tried to compensate for the things going wrong with a fruit basket. That was lovely, but it used to be standard welcome package, not something to say sorry.

-: Lobby breakfast bar was under construction. All amenities are now the china cheap version of what could be expected even 2 years ago. This used to be our favorite place in Nairobi. My husband says we might never go back since the ammenities, service and variety of food and activities have fallen so far.

+: Very nice residence spaces, clean, well maintained.

-: Limited menu options and food could be mich improved.
