This small hotel is located along the tranquil Bamburi Beach, 6.2 mi from Mombasa. Plaza Beach Hotel offers an outdoor pool, terrace and tropical garden. Free WiFi is available in public areas.

+: The check-in process was smooth. The staff were very pleasant and competent. The common areas were pleasant.
-: I booked a sea-facing room, I was given a room right above the extremely noisy pool bar. I had to ask them to reduce the speaker volume on the first night and to be moved to a different room on the second night because of the noise. The second room was run down, paint peeling, mirrors broken, non-functional electrical outlets. But I needed to sleep and it was quieter than the other one so I took it. Breakfast was really basic and mostly inedible. No fridge in a coast hotel!

-: Very poorly maintained, mould in the room, mosquito-net full of holes, smelling bathroom, sockets detached from wall...and the list goes on! How can you put this on Booking?

-: Alles op de locatie na. Erg onvriendelijk en onprofessioneel personeel. Uitvallen en ontbreken van de WiFi was dagelijks. Een fatsoenlijk eitje kon het personeel niet bakken bij het ontbijt en hebben het voor gedaan. Deuren vielen haast uit elkaar van het vocht.Water ontbrak en als er om gevraagd werd door mij werd ik van de receptie naar de bar gestuurd en van de bar naar de receptie en volgde een discussie waar ik werd uit gelachen. Zwembad was niet echt schoon.Kluisjes werken in geen enkele kamer.Bad was vies en zaten de vette randen van de vorige gebruikers nog in.'s avonds is het een dooie boel en kan men door de slechte verlichting je glas of metgezel amper zien bij de bar. De verlichting bestaat bij de bar uit een rood lampje.

-: The furniture & Fixtures were old. I didn’t have a fridge in my room for first 2 days. The safe was to be opened by the manager only so I didn’t keep my valuables in the safe.
