One of our top picks in Mombasa. This 4 star hotel is in Bamburi Beach, 9.7 km from the center of Mombasa. It features a large lagoon-style outdoor pool and 4 restaurants.
The spacious, air-conditioned rooms and suites at Travellers Beach Hotel all include a balcony with Indian Ocean views and some have a four post bed. Each has a bathtub and a shower.
A buffet breakfast is served daily at Shibe Restaurant. Italian and Indian restaurants are also offered, as well as a thatch-roofed grill restaurant next to the pool.
Guests can take diving lessons, try snorkeling, or take a glass-bottom boat tour. There is also a gift shop, laundry services, and children’s activities available.
A shuttle service is available to Moi International Airport, which is 22.5 km away.

+: Friendly helpful staff and great location and facilities
-: Management attitude leave a lot to be desired, do not stay here on business as it's almost impossible to greet visitors who aren't residents without undergoing a Spanish Inquisition! Also pool with swim up bar was being renovated, which was NOT stated upfront, poor form!

+: The room was spacious and clean. Modern bathroom with hot water. Great view and lovely balcony.The hotel is directly on the beach with easy access and pool directly accessible and not congested.The breakfast and dinner was diverse and the chefs serving the food were very pleasant and friendly.Majority of the staff were cordial and friendly. Special thanks to Jacinta at reception and the towel handlerlifeguard who were very kind.Overall the stay was pleasant and facilities surprisingly great.
-: The predetermined seating arrangement in the restaurant is quite inconvenient as one may wish to eat earlier inorder to sit under a fan or with a view. Consider free seatingfirst come first serve basis.The table was not cleared during my entire dinner and breakfast which made it hard to eat on a full table. But some staff are quite cold and unfriendly. esp at the reception and some waiters at dinner. A little friendliness goes a long way. Unfortunately the music from the pool barbeach bar was loudly audible from the pool facinggarden facing rooms all afternoon well into the night. Making it difficult to have peace and quiet. Wish I was given a warning about this beforehand as should be the norm.
