+: The architectural style giving panoramic views of the beach and sea, the spacious, air conditioned rooms, the choice of a la carte for meals, and indoor dining when preferred. The staff were charming and attentive, particularly Priya and Shakila, ensuring our requests were immediately actioned.

-: The Tourist Shop was never open. A tour help desk would have been useful. We wanted to talk through various activities with a knowledgeable person, but we only had access to the Receptionists.

+: I liked the beach. It was clean and beautiful.

-: The AC has a fixed temperature, and the temperature cannot be changed. Our AC was broken, and despite the fact the AC was repaired several times it did not work and thereby we had to change rooms in the middle of the night. Seafood items in the buffet were very low. The Sri Lankan cusine lacked taste.

+: Rooms are well equipped and spacious and all communual areas are also cleaned to a high standard. Lovely views and hotel is well located. Staff friendly. Lots of sunbeds in garden and some around the pool, plenty of shade due to the palm trees.

-: The main restaurant... food not always replenished but we did point this out before we left . The bar service wasn't amazing as the bill has an automatic 10% service charge added... I asked to see the bar manager who appreciated the feedback and really wants to get everything perfect. Currently there is no snack bar so nowhere for lunch except the main restaurant which you may not want. It is something the hotel is looking into which would be very welcomed.

+: The location was perfect, the food was really tasty, breakfast was good, The Honey Beach Club was a great spot to chill for sundowners and with Dhanu our resident Barman serving us the coldest beers on the island, it was even better. The spa was really good also, I highly recommend it and of course an old friend in Danushka who works in the pool restaurant area, it was always a pleasure. The bed was very comfortable also.

-: I think the pool cleanliness needed a bit more attention and the mini bar fridge could have been colder.

+: Die Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit des Personals war super. Frühstück war sehr gut und hatte für jeden was zu bieten.gerne wieder einmal als Gast bei einem späteren Besuch in Sri Lanka

-: Leider konnte man nicht direkt am Hotel ins Meer zum Baden wegen der Corallen. Man musste etwas weiter entfernt problemlos ins Meer gehen

+: Mein Aufenthalt in diesem 5-Sterne-Hotel in Sri Lanka war einfach unvergesslich. Von der herzlichen Gastfreundschaft bis zum erstklassigen Service, das Hotel übertraf alle Erwartungen. Ein Highlight war das exquisite Buffet mit einer beeindruckenden Auswahl an internationalen und lokalen Gerichten, frisch zubereitet und liebevoll präsentiert. Das Personal, insbesondere Jeyaraj war stets aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Der gepflegte Strand direkt vor dem Hotel war ein weiteres großes Plus. Feinster weißer Sand, kristallklares Wasser und komfortable Liegen luden zum Entspannen ein. Der Strand war immer sauber und perfekt für lange Spaziergänge oder ein erfrischendes Bad im Indischen Ozean. Unser Zimmer war großzügig und luxuriös eingerichtet. Das komfortable Bett und die moderne Ausstattung trugen dazu bei, dass ich mich sofort wohlfühlte.

-: Beim Check-in wurde mir ein kostenpflichtiges Upgrade für ein Zimmer mit Meerblick angeboten, was ich als etwas aufdringlich empfand. Ein solches Angebot sollte meiner Meinung nach dezenter erfolgen. Der gepflegte Strand, den ich grundsätzlich sehr genossen habe, hatte leider einen Nachteil: Direkt im Wasser befanden sich viele Korallen, was es unangenehm machte, ins Meer zu laufen. Schwimmschuhe wären hier definitiv empfehlenswert, um Verletzungen zu vermeiden.

+: Hotel is so beautiful - big and clean. Rooms very nice with big bed, beautiful bathroom, great air con. Good staff, sent a cake over as we are newly married which was a nice touch, also the staff always say hi when they see you which is really nice. Buffet breakfast was quite nice with a chef making hoppers on request. Nice atmosphere, clean and well kept.

-: Need more vegetarian options on a-La-Carte menu. Also would be great if the pool were kept a bit colder as the ocean is also very warm so there really isn’t a way to cool down in the heat. The beach in front of the hotel is not swimmable (at check in we were told not to swim in front of the hotel and to go to the beach to the left) and honestly quite dirty. They charge for drinking water which is a bit disappointing given it’s a nice hotel. Buffet dinner was quite expensive for what it was….Also would appreciate if the hotel had Coke Zero Diet Coke.
