+: The pictures don't capture how vast and amazing the grounds are. It's set in a large Forrest with a lake. Beautiful to walk around with lovely bungalows to stay in and buggies that take you to the rooms
-: No gym

+: location of hotel was good but not the view through the Window, basically when the curtain was removed it was views into opposite room.
-: Quality of Bathroom finishes wasn't high standard, the leather tray where the hand was kept was worn out and not even place to keep the soap. Food selection or the quality didn't meet the standard. When the restaurant was open for breakfast they didn't have all the fruit platter, it came quite late after half way down the breakfirst. I ordered a dinner through room dining, the quality was very poor and it didn't meet the standard at all. Although notified when checking out. Not even a call from the Hotel manager or the Chef. This is very disappointing. I wonder how KPMG gave them the certification.

+: This is the place to stay for Nature lovers... walking on the vast open grounds with beautiful trees and green surrounding, next to the lake with a variety of birds. But be careful of monkeys.Location is close to the ancient cultural sites. Minneriya is also not far for elephant safari.Ayurvedic massage was a great choice - reviving and relaxing.
-: Although the food was plentiful, western style catering was subpar. Vegetables were overcooked and fishmeat too dry.

+: The grounds are very large, so it's very convenient having little buggies available to drive you to your room. We also got upgraded which was a lovely surprise to a lovely big spacious room. The two pools are great, staff were amazing and so friendly. We were also able to book an elephant safari through the hotel and it was a seamless pick up and great service.
-: We organised a takeaway lunch to take with us on the safari, unfortunately the kitchen was late by about 20 minutes and delayed our tour for the safari. Luckily we were the only customers on the tour otherwise it would have greatly inconvenienced the trip or resulted in us having to leave the food behind.
