+: Amazing architecture, space and integration into nature

-: Spaces felt unbalanced... Most of the hotel was empty, but the buffet dining room was over-crowded. Only one bar and one cafe at the centre of the enormous building, and not near the (very nice) communal spaces. Food and drink prices very high, and absolutely no alternatives available inside or outside the hotel.There are no for paths around the lake and the outside space is all but unusable.Very poor transport options to get anywhere including Dambulla, the nearest town 7km away.... We were told it was dangerous to walk beyond the gate because of wild elephants, Uber and PickMe cars unwilling to come so far and no independent taxis available, leaving you at the mercy of the hotel's own vehicles, and feeling somewhat incarcerated!

+: View is so amazing, clean rooms & good breakfast buffet well structured resort. We come back for sure

+: We had a wonderful experience at the hotel! The service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the calming flute music in the evenings. Lukmi, your service was amazing! We’d like to express our gratitude to all the staff—from top to bottom—for the excellent service and attention they provided during our stay. Chef Udara thank you so much for the kitchen tour on the last day. It was great to know how Fabulously food has cooked and provided. It was clean and managed brilliantly. We also have personally given our feedback to the executive team about our stay and experiences. Thank you.
