+: The location is wonderful, it felt like a home away from home, there’s only 4 rooms and it’s a very family style athmosphere. All the staff, Faahim, Malik and Subahan were incredibly helpful, and representing Sri Lankan hospitality and kindness at its best. The food is homestyle freshly cooked, and simply delicious. Our kids were obsessed with the house dogs, who accompanied us to the beach for a walk and swim :) we miss this place already and hope to be back soon!

+: Private place, you live in the villa with maximum 4 rooms for guests and 6 staff. I spent 3 lovely days there in which 2 days I was alone in the villa. 6am morning swim, chat and help fishermen, get lobsters and ask the staff to cook me a lobster omelet. It was wow. Next morning I got the king prawns and ask to cook in butter and garlic with sprinkle of white wine. OMG. You would never have the same treatment in average hotel.
-: The guys were amazing. I found and rescued a puppy and guys were very helpful. The team has 3 house loyal dogs. If you who are reading it are “allergic to dogs“ ask in advance and don’t creat a drama together with a gay dramatic looking boyfriend ( my experience on arrival). The sentence-“ darling pack the bags we are leaving” was epic.

+: This must be the beach house that every architect wishes that he had designed! Completed in 2012 eight years after the devastation caused by the tsunami, it stands defiantly on a beautiful secluded beach front property. Surrounded by over a hundred coconut palms to the sides and rear with the front garden edged by several frangipani trees, it is has been purposefully built for the sultry Sri Lankan climate. The two storey residence has front and back terraces on the upper floor which allow for the cooling sea breezes to sweep through it. The accommodation comprises of two very large en-suite bedrooms on the upper floor either side of the house, each with their own private veranda accessed through four double sets of folding French doors allowing the rooms to open right up to the elements if so desired. A further two villas are adjacent to the house, one on each side thus allowing a maximum of eight guests. There is a deliberate colonial feel to this residence; planters’ chairs on the upper front terrace are perfect for an aperitif before dinner while you watch the sun setting and the birds roosting - look out for the red & white Sea eagles. Dine then by candlelight on the upper terrace to the rear overlooking the illuminated grounds while listening to the crashing waves in a truly romantic setting. Malik is an up and coming talented young chef who will not fail to impress you with his culinary prowess. Sri Lanka is known as the Spice Island and his knowledge and use of the different spices with the local organic produce available is first class, you certainly won’t want to eat elsewhere. Hasif is a most welcoming host, very attentive without being obtrusive. He runs a very happy household and it has been wonderful to have been guests here. Thank you.
