Elevated 1,763 m above sea level within the mountains of Ambewela, Jetwing Warwick Gardens. Surrounded by charming farm lands, its rooms come with balconies and butler services. A restaurant and library are available.
Once the home of a Scottish tea planter, this refurbished bungalow has rooms with a dressing area and sofa. The private bathrooms are fitted with a bathtub and separate rain shower. Bathrobes and slippers are provided.
Jetwing Warwick Gardens is about 106 mi from Katunayake's International Airport. It is a 35-minute drive from Hakgala Botanical Gardens and Arboretum. Horton Plains, Sri Lanka’s most elevated national park, is 22 mi away.
The TV lounge features a large DVD collection, while the library offers a place for quiet reading. Board games are also available. Services include tour arrangements and laundry.
Meals can be enjoyed in the garden, on the lawn or by a campfire. The hotel serves English breakfast prepared with produce from the garden. It also offers a variety of teas and wines.

+: The hotel is situated on a hill with a good view of the tea plantations
-: This is not a 5 or 4 star hotel standard - firstly the road leading to the hotel is not a tarmac road, full of potholes and poor signage. Secondly, the hotel itself is in need of maintenance, there were large patches throughout the building that needed painting over including the ceiling of the bathroom in our room. The hotel manager greeted us wearing a casual cricket shirt and lead us to his office through the staff quarters and kitchen to check in - any hotel should have a check in desk, especially one claiming to be 5 starts.A number of things weren’t functioning well in our room - the fire alarm was beeping, one of the bedside lamps wasn’t working and the bathroom lock was loose. This indicates further that the rooms are poorly maintained. The dinner was overpriced and lacked Sri Lankan positions which as tourists was what we would have liked to have. The wine list was very expensive with all 4 red wines priced at c. $100 dollars a bottle without an option of having wine by the glass. There is no wifi at the hotel. This would have been acceptable if there was some entertainment offered at the hotel such as a bar area, card or table games or TV in the room. None of these were available. The hotel price we were charged isn’t commensurate with the standards that this hotel offered. The only positive thing was the welcoming staff.

+: the location is breathtaking
-: we visited in January and it was very cold and the property didn't have any heating system. we spent the night shivering then we checked out the next morning (two days early). also, the road leading to the property is very steep and not lit at all - quite dangerous at night. The website should have a clear warning about coming at nightduring rain.
