The Nidos Smilte Hotel is located in the northern part of the village, on the shore of the Curonian Lagoon, near the Thomas Mans Memorial Museum. The hotel consists of three villas - Villa "Vaiva", Villa "Svayone" and Villa "Kryagzhdute". The hotel is popular with tourists from other European countries and is notable for its historical past. It occupies the former building of the guesthouse Hermann Blode, the founder of the famous colony of artists Nida (1890).
