Situated along the white sand beach of Trou d'Eau Douce, Le Surcouf Hotel & Spa is set in a tropical garden. It features a swimming pool, Ocean Spa and Creole-inspired architecture.

The air-conditioned rooms all come with colourful décor and balconies with Indian Ocean views. They also include a TV and electric kettle. The en-suite bathrooms are equipped with a shower.

The dining and reception areas would benefit from either more effective air circulation system or air conditioning. I believe this is being addressed via a property upgrade over the next few months. Beautiful views out across the lagoon, and friendly, professional staff across the board, from servers to management. The set menu meals and buffets were interesting as well as tasty, and the kitchen staff happily accommodated requests for our 5 & 7 year old kids, (as well as the adults a few times), when nothing on offer suited their tastes.
