+: The best part was the location. I really liked how close to the beach it was. BUT...every single hotelproperty at Maafushi is close to the beach! So it's not that big of a deal. But still...

-: Many things. The hotel is 2-stories. So it's very noisy. Kaani have two more updated and new hotels. So this one is like a step-child! There is NO staff or people at the front desk. As a solo female travelr, that really bothered me that they couldn't even post a single human being at the front desk. The staff is very over friendly and they have NO boundaries and ask very personal questions. I found that with the housekeeping staff and particularly the staff manning the breakfast restaurant. The fact that I was a solo female traveler - they looked at me like I was some 8th wonder of the world. It was a bit irritating! But there was one staff member who I never met - Mr. Tiger. He was always available on WhatsApp and answered my queries quickly. He was good.

+: Na snídaních mi nejvíce vadí neklimatizované prostory, jako i minulý rok.. Jinak výběr je velký, ale víceméně je pořád to samé. Chuťově průměr.

-: Pokoj byl ok, úklid také super. Poslední dva dny nám ale netekla studená voda z umyvadla, pouze ze sprchy.. výměna ručníků a dodání balených vod každodenně. V tomto ohledu bylo vše super.

+: The beach near the hotel. The breakfast was good.

-: No elevator. Sliding door was hard to openclose. Safety box not screwed to wallcabinet. TV difficult to operate, no guide for provided. Pricey.

+: We liked our room view, we saw palms and a bit of the sea from the second floor. The property only has 2 floors BTW! They had good AC and a fan above the bed.

-: There is no one at the reception. When we came, they registered us at Kaani Grand hotel. Moreover, the management could be better. We didn't know a lot of information about the hotel and billiards, for example, was at their other hotel on another part of the island.

+: The Kaani group has 4 hotels on the island and all are hosted by lovely people. We got an upgrade to Kaani Grand Seaview and totally loved our stay there. Breakfast is great and they offer nice excursions. Being a Kaani-guest gives access to the prettiest of the bikini beaches on the island.

-: We paid extra for a room with seaview only to discover that the pictures Kaani Beach uses in their advertisement are from years ago and the view is nothing like the pictures anymore. Theres 3 rows of buildings on the beach in front of the hotel nowadays and you hear music from 3 different locations while sitting on the balcony. They were great in accommodating by upgrading to Kaani Grand Seaview after I made a complaint, so no hard feelings, but I do want to warn others. If you’re coming to Maafushi and are willing to pay extra for a room with sea view, then do book someplace else. Also the reception and breakfast both are at Kaani Grand Seaview (100 meters walk)
