+: Rivethi Beach Hotel has become my home away from home when I am in the Male Hulhumale region. The staff know me well. I love the location as all I have to do is walk across the street and dive into the waters for a late day swim. I communicate directly with the housekeeping kitchen staff in the mornings and they meet my special requests in regards to room cleaning (or not). I am grateful for the hot water! (Not all properties have that.) And I am always satisfied with the ability to communicate clearly with the front desk. They arrange taxis, verify billing, suggest restaurants, ATM locations, pharmacies - all nearby. I will return time after time.
-: - I booked a smaller room this time (104). The room is no problem, though no view. The problem for me was the air conditioning - it blew directly onto the bed pillows making it uncomfortable for sleeping. My solution was to turn it off at bedtime and let the ceiling fan run on low. This issue is not something that can be addressed as reconfiguration of the room is not possible but I mention it in case of sensitivities. - The internet continues to frustrate me as I was not able to stay connected for long periods of time without signing into the network time after time after time. Not sure what the solution can be as the hotel upgraded some technical elements but as soon as I left the keyboard for more than 10 minutes I lost network connection and could not automatically reconnect. I had to enter the user and password every singe time.
