The environmentally friendly luxury resort Six Senses Laamu is surrounded by clear turquoise waters and white sand beaches. It offers wooden bungalows with free Wi-Fi, an iPod docking station, 37-inch flat-screen TV and Bose entertainment system. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms. The staff also speak Chinese.
The villas are beautifully decorated and air conditioned. The bathroom has an open-air rain shower. Guests of the villas can relax on their own small couch and lounge chairs under the Maldivian sun. Slippers, an electric kettle and a teeth cleaning kit are provided. There are Chinese cable channels. Chinese newspapers are available on request.
Hotel Six Senses Laamu is located on Oluweli Island, a 15-minute boat ride from Kadhuhouoo Airport. The flight from this airport to Male International Airport lasts 40 minutes.
Ayurvedic treatments and relaxing massages are held in the stylish, individual treatment rooms of the Six Senses Spa. Other facilities at the resort include a modern gym, yoga pavilions and a diving center.
In the LEAF restaurant you can enjoy modern Mediterranean cuisine made from fresh organic ingredients. The Altitude Wine Cellar bar offers excellent wines and cheeses. Chinese dishes are also served for breakfast.
The resort also has the Longitude international restaurant, the Es'sense pizzeria, the Ice Café and the Chai and Chill lounge bar.

+: This is an iconic hotel globally. It delivers exceptional standard across all client expectations and the icing on the cake is the extraordinary accessibility and beauty of the islands reef.
-: The only reason I wouldn't go back is the value for money. The rooms themselves are fair in value, however the pricing of food and activities leaves a sour taste. We've paid as much for food and activities as we did for the rooms themselves, even though we were half-board. We only averaged one activity per day and only ate 2 proper meals a day. fyi, taxes for maldives means we paid an equal amount on taxes as we did for accommodation.
