+: The room is spacious, comfortable and very well-equipped. We absolutely loved the breakfast, which included several delicious Maldivian dishes. There is also an option to have lunch andor dinner at the hotel for a reasonable price. The hosts were very professional and kind, and they even informed us about the Maldivian cultural evening event, which was held nearby. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Both Thoddoo Sunset beach and Thoddoo Sunrise beach are quite close to the hotel, as well as the restaurants and a couple of shops. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.

+: Everything was perfect. Adil organized perfect fishing trip for us. Staff were very kind and amazing. Location is perfect, I recommend it!!! Thank you for great stay in Thoddoo.

+: Good breakfast: we were in 3 guest houses in total on the Maldives and here it was likely the bestNicely rooms, but the bathroom is in a bad condition. Some just lied in sandExcept the ownermanager Adeel the staff is niceThe whole stay was ruined by manager Adeel, he doesn't speak good English, the whole communication with him was difficult. And when we had a problem, he cancelled our booking in the middle of the stay(!) to not to give us a possibility to write the negative review. We had to leave and lost half a day. It was the worst experience during 12 years with Booking. Normally managers respect you. Adeel has another opinion, seems, he takes guests for fools by default1. The speedboat costs. "It price is $40 per person one-way". The official price is 35$ and other hotel has booked the return at the official price. Small trick2. Bad communication. I tried to plan the whole trip well enough, knew about speedboats and timetable. Right after the booking a month before arrival I asked to book the speedboat and wrote the speedboat departure day and time. Adeel answered "We will arrange your transfer". One day before arrival just in case I asked whether there are no changes and duplicated the time. Answer: “We will try”. Of course he didn’t book the places in advance and misunderstood about the time, we could lose half a day. Finally he booked the right speedboat but really just before its departure3. Currency fooling. Because he doesn’t accept MVR and takes 4% paying by card, I also asked in advance to pay in EUR. He has written ‘yes’ and the price is the same as in USD (the rate was almost 1:1 at that time). During the check in, he said, the price will be higher and showed me some rates in a WhatsApp chat(!). In total I gave him the arranged amount in EUR, but additionally 10$ for any inconveniences. I didn't really want to argue.
-: 4. Tours are organized awful. We asked about a manta tour for Saturday (was good weather), he said: Sunday. Ok, time? - 67 am - Ok. Most of boats start at that time. But on Saturday evening he said: 9 am (water is no more so clear) - Ok. The weather was bad already. We understood, in such conditions we likely will not see mantas. In many cases hosts offer the 2nd try on other day for free. On Sunday during breakfast we said, weather is bad, please agree to give the 2nd try if needed. He didn't want. We said, then we don't want to go and waste time. He phoned and said that boats, which are on the spot now, see mantas (why we are not on these boats then?). He agreed for the 2nd try. We were alone on a small boat, there were no more boats on the spot (only one dhoni with divers seeing corals). The plan of our boatman (no more crew) was: one jumps into water and check mantas. The boatman just sailed 5-7 times on a short distance and said: I think here, jump. I tried to explore bottom, looked far away. No mantas. He also tried to sell us the idea to go to Rasdhoo for shoppingnurse sharks. But you don't need 'a private tour' for it, you can do it with a cheap ferry. On the next day we described it to the manager. He repeated many times: we can’t control mantas. We said, we don't need the 2nd chance, it will be the same. I also didn't want to pay the whole price of the tour (the organization looked like, I can't say a fraud, but a trick). I said, I’m ready to pay, for example, a half to cover fuel etc. At the end he said, he doesn’t need the money or sth like that. In a less than an hour he has written via booking: "Kindly I request you move another hotel. we are not happy with you. We will refund your payment. I will request non sow in booking. We don't like you behaviour. Thank you. Manager". And cancelled the reservation as no show.
