In 2 colonial mansions in Mérida, this boutique hotel offers an outdoor pool and a spa specializing in chocolate treatments. The elegant rooms include free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TV.
Rosas&Xocolate Boutique Hotel+Spa is on the beautiful Paseo de Montejo Avenue. Mérida Cathedral is one kilometer away and Mérida Train Station is around a 10-minute walk away.
Each bright room features high ceilings and local wood, glass and bamboo. Rooms include a BOSE sound system with a DVD player and iPod dock. The spacious bathrooms come with L’Occitane toiletries.
Rosas&Xocolate's bistro serves fine cuisine from a varied dining menu, while the lively Moon Lounge has an open-air terrace. There is also a tequila bar and a chocolate boutique.
Laptops and iPods are available upon request from the 24-hour front desk. The staff can also arrange transportation to Mérida or Cancún Airport.

+: Hotel was tastefully decorated and furnished and is in a good location
-: The hotel is a little tired. The aircon in the room was very noisy. The restaurant menu (which was also the room service menu) was over engineered …one couldn’t get a simple salad (eg Caesar salad) or a club sandwich…staples of a room service menu

+: The hotel is a beautiful 100-year old house decorated with lots of style. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms, too. The bed very comfortable. The staff very accomodating and the breakfast very tasty, especially the croissants freshly made each morning.
-: I couldn't sleep due to the heavy noise from the ancient AC system and the mini-fridge. A better cleaningmaintenance of the premises is necessary.

-: Bathroom plumbing in our room (hotel room #2) needs attention. We reported this to the front desk when we left so the issue has probably been addressed.
