Vila Galé Albacora is a 4-star resort, set in a rehabilitated tuna fishing camp among Ria Formosa Natural Park. It is close to the Island of Tavira and a 15-minute drive from Faro Airport.

All rooms and suites of this eco hotel are former houses, workshops and warehouses that have been comfortably furnished and renovated offering stunning views of the natural park. Each guest room has its own furnished patio area, which is close to the resort’s gardens.

For meals, guests can chose from buffet and à la carte dining options. The resort’s Restaurant Salinas and Restaurant Inevitável serve Portuguese cuisine. Guests also enjoy a selection of Alentejo wines and cocktails.

Facilities include a heated indoor pool, a large outdoor pool, a spa and wellness center, and a children’s playground. The recovered on-site chapel offers the perfect scenery for weddings and christenings. The former school is now a modern kids' club. The pier of the property offers boat access to the pristine beaches of Tavira's Island.

Vila Galé Albacora is close to many historic buildings and long beaches. Guests can discover the nearby village of Luz de Tavira that has been a place of pilgrimage for many centuries. Guests can make use of the hotel’s bus transfers into town and explore its attractions.

+: Расположение и окружающая природа - великолепны. Завтрак обильный, очень вкусный и отвечает любым предпочтениям. -: Ленивые уборщицы, которые могут "забыть" сделать уборку именно в вашем номере.

+: Отличное место для отдыха, очень красиво. Отель расположен в бывшей рыбацкой деревне. Уютная территория, отличный сервис и ресторан. Бассейны внутри и снаружи, спа зона, имеется музей. -: В комнате было не совсем чисто, чёрные волосы в ванной комнате.

+: Очень хороший отель!!! Вкусные завтраки как в 5 звездочном отеле. Тихий и спокойный с красивой территорией и огородом. Приветливый персонал. Отличный спа центр с саунами и джакузи, хороший бассейн на улице. Вкусный портвейн в баре) -: В номере было немного грязно, волосы чёрные в ванной были повсюду.

+: Уникальное месторасположение между рекой и заливом, очень красивая территория, на которой есть даже музей ловли тунца и церковь. Самое главное преимущество - два своих паромчика которые строго по расписанию отвозят на остров Тавира с океанскими пляжами и привозят с него. Пляжи на острове тянутся на несколько километров, очень чисто, океан был теплый Лучшее время ближе к вечеру когда отлив -: Для выбранного формата отдыха подошло все. Замечаний к отелю нет.

+: Красивое место, вид на заповедник. Один раз застали ужин с обилием морепродуктов, были даже устрицы, еды много, но качество среднее. Удобно, что можно было заменить оплаченные ужины на обеды.Замечательный сотрудник на рецепшн забронировал нам столик в ресторан, куда мы не могли попасть.Пляжные полотенца можно было менять каждый день. Уборка в номере регулярно, горничные умудрялись делать ее очень незаметно и подстраивались по времени.Отличный интернет на всей территории отеля. -: Муравьи в номере. Сыро и влажно.Не весь персонал владеет английским языком. Часто это было проблемой.Почти всегда заняты лежаки, очень много людей в отеле у бассейна.Местное вино нам не особо понравилось. Первый раз покупали билет на лодку, которая перевозит на соседний пляж, попросили на 10 поездок, но девушка не поняла и дала на одну. В итоге следующим утром мы бегом бежали за новым, чтобы успеть к отправлению.До центра Тавиры можно добраться либо на такси, либо пешком (больше 3 км).

Разнообразный выбор на ужин, который менялся каждый день. Особенно впечатлили португальские блюда (в один из вечеров были устрицы), большой выбор фруктов и выпечки, десертов. В номере чисто. Отель предоставляет полотенца для бассейна и пляжа, что тоже очень приятно, можно не везти их с собой (к сожалению мы не знали об этом). Также порадовало наличие лодок, которые возят на океанские пляжи за небольшую плату (десять билетов за 20 евро, билет действует туда и обратно). Есть бесплатный трансфер до Тавиры. Так же порадовало, что комаров мы так и не встретили.
