One of our top picks in Liptovský Mikuláš.The family-run Penzion Drak guest house can be found in Liptovský Mikuláš, between the peaks of the High and Low Tatra Mountains and offers you fine cuisine and great wellness facilities.

Penzion Drak is located near the main road from Liptovský Mikuláš to the Demanova valley, close to Jasna, which is the biggest ski center in Slovakia.

The wellness facilities with a steam bath, a Finnish sauna and a jacuzzi are available for an extra charge.

+: Správanie sa personálu, strava, lokalita.

-: Mali sme zaplatený apartmán s balkónom - budova depandance. Keď sme prišli, upovedomili nás, že kvôli nejakej technickej závade nás presunuli do hlavnej budovy a kvôli rozdielu v cene nám ponúkli večeru grátis. Keďže sme o tom vopred nevedeli, mali sme so sebou jedlo a nápoje, ktoré sme potrebovali uskladniť. V izbe nebola chladnička, od recepčnej sme dostali len vedro s ľadom. Boli sme vyčerpaní po túre a celodennej horúčave, no izba sa nachádzala priamo nad kuchyňou, odkiaľ sa až do neskorého večera ozývalo pokrikovanie zrejme pomocných síl, štrngot príborov a riadu. Ráno - nevyspatí - sme vyhadzovali roztečené potraviny. Určite by sa tu zišla v takýchto podmienkach buď klíma, aby sa dali aspoň trochu odizolovať zvuky zdola. Alebo by bolo prospešné dať hosťovi vopred vedieť a umožniť mu pobyt stornovať s návratením peňazí.

+: Prostředí penzionu i samotná budova ve velmi pěkném stavu, až překvapivé, že se jedná “pouze” o penzion. Snídaně byli úžasné a alespoň trochu napravili škodu po neprospané noci a hladu po večeři.

-: Přistýlka, která byla jakési rozkládací křeslo, kde spoj mezi jednotlivými díly byl tvrdý a nedalo se na tom vůbec spát. Ceny v restauraci více než přemrštěné a nestály bohužel za kvalitu jídla, kterou jsme dostaly. Bohužel pokrm vypadal líp než chutnal. Po zmínění se obsluze (pan recepčníčíšník), že jídlo nebylo moc dobré, se mi nedostalo ani omluvy ani žádné pokory, či snaha to napravit. Jen monolog o tom, že při chystání tohoto pokrmu na jídelní lístek 5dní zpět, bylo vše v pořádku a tudíž je chyba v mých chuťových pohárcích. I přesto, že jsem to vznesla jen jako zpětnou vazbu pro kuchaře a nečekala jsem žádné gesto. Jako bývalý zaměstnanec z gastra jsem zvyklá na jinou reakci, pokud je host nespokojený i kdyby jeho nespokojenost byla jakkoliv nerelevantní. Slečna servírka byla naopak moc milá.
