4-star Wellness Hotel Borovica is set in the heart of the High Tatras in Štrbské Pleso, the highest village of the Tatra Mountains. Its guests can relax at the spa free of charge or enjoy skiing in Štrbské Pleso Ski Park 1.2 mi away. Free WiFi is available in all hotel rooms.

The rooms are elegantly furnished and some come with a fireplace and a comfortable seating area. Free wired internet is provided. A playroom featuring a terrace and an organized program for children are available.

Borovica Wellness Hotel’s restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, such as traditionally Slovak specialties and international cuisine. +: Umístění hotelu nám vyhovovalo. Snídaně formou bufetu byly dobré. Personál byl velmi vstřícný (restaurace i recepce). V hotelové recepci je voliéra, kde jsou umístěny 2 roztomilé kanadské veverky (Borko a Alica). Líbilo se nám, že náš pokoj měl lodžii. Výhled byl sice do lesa, ale nevadilo nám to. Vyšlo nám krásné počasí a bylo fajn si jen tak posedět na lodžii a dýchat čerstvý vzduch.

-: Nedostatek vidím ve špatném osvětlení koupelny (zrcadla). Nad zrcadlem je sice svítidlo, ale jeho svítivost není dostatečná pro ranní nalíčení večerní odlíčení. Nepomůže ani zrcadlo v zádveří, protože i to je velmi málo osvětleno. Další zrcadlo bylo blízko okna na stěně u TV, ale ani tam nebyl dostatek světla. Byli jsme v hotelu 6 nocí a hned první noc byla kritická. Oba jsme se celý pobyt budili asi 3 - 6x za noc díky velmi tvrdé pružinové matraci. Bohužel, matrace nám hodně pobyt kazily. Naštěstí byl volný vstup do bazénu a vířivky, takže jsme se šli každé ráno i večer trošku napravit do wellness. Nebyli jsme jediní, kteří měli s matracemi problém. Ráno u snídaně jsme zaslechli od vedlejšího stolu také konverzaci ohledně nevhodných matrací. Paní recepční byla vstřícná, půjčila nám přistýlkovou vrchní matraci i polštáře navíc, ale bohužel to moc nepomohlo. Z dovolené jsme přijeli hodně rozlámaní kvůli velmi špatnému spaní a to určitě nejsme nijak přecitlivělí.
