Housed in a refurbished building originally built in 1892, Shanghai Mansion recreates the elegance of Shanghai in the 1930s. Located in Bangkok's Chinatown, it offers a restaurant and jazz bar, as well as free WiFi access.
This boutique hotel is within walking distance of Hua Lumpong MRT station. The colorful nightlife along Chao Phraya River is a 15-minute drive away. Free tuk-tuk (trishaw) service is provided to several city attractions. Located right on Yaowaraj Road, guests can find many of the area's famous street food stalls, fresh fish markets, traditional tea and Chinese medicine shops and temples with just a short walk.
Decorated with brightly colored silks and furniture, rooms at Shanghai Mansion feature a flat-screen TV, DVD player and laptop-sized personal safe. A free mini-bar and tea/coffee making facilities are also provided.
Guests can enjoy Chinese board games and books in the library, or relax by 5-story indoor garden. Facilities include a tour desk, business center and cash machine. The hotel provides laundry and dry cleaning.
Red Rose Restaurant serves Chinese dishes and has a lively bar stocked with spirits, extensive wine list as well as Chinese whiskey and liqueurs. There is also a live jazz band playing every night.

+: We loved Everything! This was the 4th time I stayed. Shanghai Mansion and this time I decided it really is my favorite hotel in the world. The service is more tailored and attentive than any 5 star I've stayed in and certainly warmer. The rooms, common areas, and Jazz Bar exude charm and make for fabulous travel photos. Breakfasts were always delicious and interesting. There are so many surprising extras which I won't ruin the surprise by describing here. The location is fantastic as there's so much to do in the area and loads of good eating to explore. We felt really special every evening arriving back from excursions to be welcomed by staff and greeted with live music and uplifting vibes from the Jazz Bar which is open to the street. My travel companion uses a wheelchair and this was her first international trip. We couldn't have chosen a more fun and exciting hotel to stay in and the staff were so helpful with anything and everything to make my friend's stay enjoyable. Stay here. You won't be disappointed!
-: nothing!

+: The staff was super nice and accommodating, hotel design and atmosphere were also amazing, including the amenities and small details in the room. Great breakfast. The location is also superb, right on the main road with one of the best night markets in Bangkok and a metro stop close by. Live music at the bar was also a nice touch.

+: We loved the location of the property, it was in the heart of Chinatown and close to the metro to get around.
-: The only downside we’d say about the property is that there are no windows in the room so you don’t get any natural light
