On Railay East Beach, this resort features an outdoor swimming pool. The modern rooms have a private balcony and free Wi-Fi.
The stylish rooms at the Sunrise Tropical Resort have a satellite TV, a tea/coffee maker and a private bathroom with amenities. Some rooms have a spacious sitting area and a private patio.
Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the beachfront restaurant serves Thai specialties and international favorites. Seafood barbecue is available nightly.
Sunrise is a 15-minute walk from Phra Nang Beach and about 17.7 km from Krabi International Airport. An airport shuttle service is available.
Guests can make travel arrangements at the tour desk. Adventure activities in Railay include trekking, kayaking, snorkeling and rock climbing.

+: Wir hatten das Tropical gebucht, sind aber wegen der Fusionierung im Sand Sea untergebracht worden (ist aber ein Gelände). Vorteil dadurch: dichter am Restaurant und Railay West. Tolle, grüne Anlage, netter Pool, direkt am Traumstrand. Frühstück für Thai-Verhältnisse sehr gut (auch westliche Sachen, aber eher wenig Obst).
-: Überfordertes Personal, wobei das auch daran liegen konnte, dass zunehmend westliche Touristen kommen und die Anlage wegen Sonkran sehr voll war. Wir mussten fünfmal fragen, bis wir Handtücher für unser Zimmer bekommen hatten. Zur Überraschung stand nach der 3. Anfrage ein Zustellbett im Zimmer, aber kein Handtuch. Später alles gut, alle Probleme gelöst. Uns war das insgesamt zu groß, die Herzlichkeit anderer Unterkünfte (Phuket, Phi Phi, Krabi) fehlte hier.
