+: The whole place is like a Hindu palace. The Baray Villa duplexes are incredible luxurious. Excellent buffet breakfast with wide variety of local and western options.
-: They didn't offer an airport transfer, but suggested that I hire a transfer in the airport. Worse advice I got in my life, the driver was either ignorant, illiterate or short-sighted or all three. He couldn't read the name or address of the place in my cellphone, when I explained it was Sawasdee Village he mumbled something in his phone map app and wound up going in a completely different direction, claiming I asked for "Barrier village" or something. When I stopped him I tried to explain the hotel was in Kata Beach, so then he turned around and drove to Nai Harn beach because he seemed convinced that Kata beach didn't exist (Even though the original transfer ticket I gave him at the airport said KATA!!!). After two hours I had to type "Sawasdee Village" in his own cellphone myself, and we finally managed to get to the right place. Follow my advice and DO NOT hire taxis at the airport, use Grab where your destination is given by the apps' GPS.
